My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I genuinely recommend this hotel for anyone brand-new to Hoi An like I was! We were recommended by a family friend to stay at Babylon Riverside Hotel in order to be close by the shopping districts and tourist hotspots. Those are a small hike out, maybe 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace, but going the opposite way also leads into local neighborhoods, businesses, and restaurants. I really recommend just wandering around the general area if you are able.
The hotel itself is very lovely, and it’s easy to spot from a distance with the yellow building and its immediate location across a stone bridge. This is a newer hotel (only four months past opening day at the time of this review, according to the desk receptionist). The general atmosphere is clean, quiet, and peaceful thanks to the hotel’s location; the interior is air-conditioned, well-decorated and aromatic with a lemongrass scent that I particularly liked. We required three rooms for our party, and all of them were also clean, similarly scented and decorated, with a few free amenities like tea, coffee, and water bottles. Beds are EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. Do note that the rooms are NOT soundproofed! The bathtub is a standing one and so can be rather tall/slippery to step into as well. Breakfast is complimentary and filling with lots of nice options. All of the staff were incredibly polite, warm-mannered, and welcoming, and although we were Vietnamese-American and so could communicate easily, many did make the effort to speak in English first, which I think may be good for other visitors. There are also two swimming pools — one outdoors, the other on the topmost floor outside the restaurant area — and both are rather shallow but still deep enough to swim in, and both are kept very clean! I do recommend the outdoors pool more due to its size and also proximity to the billiards cafe.
Very glad I have been able to visit Hoi An for the first time, and this hotel added to the experience a lot. Will come again next...
Read moreThis was our first of three hotel stays in Hoi An, and while our first impression wasn’t the best, we ended up realizing this place offers incredible value especially compared to the others.
Standout highlights:
-Best breakfast of our whole trip, even better than the 5-star resort we stayed at. The setting was quaint, elegant, and clean. Tables were spacious, and they even had an overflow room with the same spread. Breakfast changed daily, had both western and local options, and was constantly replenished. Staff were friendly and made sure everyone was fed, even past the official end time.
-Beds were large and comfy (not too firm) and there’s a smart tv in the room with access to YouTube and Netflix
-Great soundproofing. our room was surprisingly quiet even with karaoke nearby. Once we shut the balcony door, we barely heard a thing. Tip: go for a city view room over a poolside one
-Rooftop bar and kids playroom were a huge bonus for us as a family. The bartender had a great attitude ! We loved it so much we came back just for happy hour.
-Free beach shuttle and bikes (though they go fast) -gym was small and lacked privacy but seemed to have all of the basics. Although it should be monitored more for children who played inside.
A few downsides: painfully slow WiFi😫 -Rooms were small and not ideal for just hanging out, especially since the hotel is about 15 minutes from the old town -We were unexpectedly charged full price for breakfast our first morning, despite being told we’d get a discount due to our early arrival. The female manager handling this felt a bit off-putting the whole stay kind of lingering and not very helpful -Rooftop pool looked small and not super clean
TLDR: amazing value with thoughtful touches that beat out others at a similar price point. we’d book again...

From the moment we arrived at Soluna D’Annam, we felt warmly welcomed and completely at ease. The hotel itself is beautiful – elegant yet relaxed, with thoughtful design touches and a peaceful atmosphere. The location is perfect: close enough to walk to the Old Town but tucked away just enough to enjoy some quiet and rest.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The rooftop pool was a highlight – ideal for cooling off in the afternoon with great views of the surrounding area.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible service.
Ms. Chi at the front desk went above and beyond every single day. She was always smiling, helpful, and genuinely cared about how we were doing. Whether it was arranging transport, offering local tips, or simply checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, she made everything feel personal and special.
Mr. Thinh was equally wonderful – professional, attentive, and kind. His presence gave the hotel a calm, confident atmosphere, and you could tell the whole team worked well together thanks to his leadership.
Breakfast was delicious and varied, with both local and Western options. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit, local dishes, and the excellent coffee!
Overall, Soluna D’Annam exceeded all expectations. It felt like staying with friends rather than just being guests at a hotel. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An.
Thank you again, Ms. Chi and Mr. Thinh – you made our trip...
