Attempted to deliver via Shopee Food. After 40 minutes, order was cancelled saying merchant closed. Their Google listing says open. Their Facebook page says open. Wouldn’t have minded if it was cancelled after a few minutes but 40m? I reached out to the restaurant. My message shows seen, but they don’t reply after another 30 minutes.
An hour later, after leaving this review. they message me saying they aren’t on Shopee. So they told the driver to cancel. Didn’t bother to call me to explain and sort alternative.
Just cancelled with no reason or notice.
They could have contacted me. I messaged them immediately after it was cancelled. I was left on read with no reply. They are so annoyed at the driver / shopee they just shoo him away and make him cancel. And ignore my message.
Such a waste of time. Please improve your service. Your store is on shopee- this isn’t my fault sir.
Edit: owner has been harassing me to take this review down. I’ve had to block him on Facebook and messenger.
They could have responded to me when I messaged them but they only replied after I left the review.
The fact is, they are on Shopee, I ordered, and ended up with this nonsense. They accuse me of trying to hurt their business, but the review was so other people don’t make the same mistake as I made.
Finally, they’ve chosen to use my real name here to shame me?
And “expats” are the problem apparently.. which further demonstrates their lack of care for customers.

My wife ordered a medium cook on her fillet mignon and the chef/owner asked if she'd prefer it to be served "butterflied". I respected this request a lot because it ensured that she received a more even cook on a steak that is usually enjoyed rare - medium rare. It's all down to personal preference, but this ticked a box with me. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare, but only because I was advised that the dry aged striploin was thinly cut. My only negative comment is that this changed my mind from ordering the striploin to ordering something I knew would likely be great... It's a shame because part of me regretted changing my mind. As such I don't think the staff should describe their steaks as thin, because they're not "thin" (about ½ inch thick at most)... As expected, the ribeye was great and the sides were well prepared. The asparagus were all dente and the mashed potato was delicious. The chef clearly has a good palette... This was apparent when we both ordered a crème brûlée (our favourite dessert). There might only be two desserts on the menu (the other being gelato), but they don't need any more. Not only is the crème brûlée home made, but it might be the best crème brûlée I have eaten since my French grandma prepared me one over 20 years ago for my birthday. Thank you. Read moreThis steakhouse is located at a relatively secluded area so i am really glad for its location since we do not have to be part of the tourist crowd I like the ambience of this restaurant since it is pretty quiet and the scenery which overlooks the river is another plus point As for the food, i really enjoyed the prawns since they well grilled with a smoky flavour but not to the extent that it was overdone. Also considering the portion and price of the dish, it is definitely worth every single penny. As for the steak, it was also cooked pretty decently. The ribeye was cooked to the correct doneness, i didnt really like the sirloin cut since it had alittle too much fats for my liking (if you are someone who love tons of fats in your steak then i would recommend this cut). I kind of regretted not asking for the steak to be charred on the outside since i reckon that this restaurant would be able to do a good job in it given the great steak that they have served. We were given 4 sauces to go with the steak and my personal favourite was the red wine sauce followed by the garlic butter.
