Gia Huy Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Oh boy where do i start… i have mixed review of this place. Me and my family stayed at this hotel for 4d3n. This is my honest review

(+) excellent location especially for muslims especially Malaysian and Indonesian, this hotel is surrounded by halal eateries and during night time, this road turns into a kind of night market selling cheap affordable souvenirs. literally across the road with the famous ben thanh market. Room is comfortable and bed is comfy.

(-) thin walls and doors. On the first night we were there, we arrived quite late from the airport and struggled to open our room door, the key card wouldn’t work. So while discussing how to open the door, an angry man came out of the room beside us and told us to shut up. (Like wtf you’re in Asia not in friggin Europe). The key failed to work multiple times. We had to send someone down each time to let the receptionist do something to the key, return upstairs and then only we can access the room. Spotted a tissue paper stuck to the toilet bowl when first entering the room. Spotted a strand of body hair stuck at the shower wall also when first entering the room. something is wrong with the cold/hot water system. At random times, there wasn’t any cold water available, so what came out of the shower was boiling hot. Even when i was showering with warm water setting. It suddenly turned hot. This not only happened in my room, it also happened to another room that my parent stayed in.

Me and my mom stayed at this hotel for 16 nights in a twin room and had a pleasant experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the stay very welcoming. The hotel uses updated key cards and provides all essential necessities. A smart TV in the room was a great addition, allowing me to watch many movies.

The location is excellent, close to Ben Thanh Market and numerous halal restaurants, making it ideal for Muslim travelers. The room was clean and well-maintained with daily housekeeping, though I did notice occasional small stains on the sheets. One downside is the room lacked a window.

The price is relatively high compared to other nearby hotels, but the excellent service and prime location justify it. Overall, a great choice if you value service and location, despite the minor cleanliness issues and absence...

Nice and clean rooms. The room was basic, but that was all we needed. The location was wonderfull, it was near everything, it was located in a quiet side-road, so there was no street-noice. The staff was amazing, helped us out a great deal. Especially Jerry and Chua helped us with finding the right bus to our next place. All and all a great choice...
