Terrible hotel not deserving of its rating! Booking this hotel was the worst booking mistake in my 7 visits to Saigon. I booked my stay on Agoda because of the good reviews (Don't believe ????), low price and no deposit required. That was a mistake! My terrible experience confirms what you will learn from the 1 star reviews from others. You will regret booking this place!
To reach the Lynnwood House, my grab taxi dropped me at the entrance to a narrow alley and just pointed s direction. Walking and hauling luggage, I got lost twice before finding the"old house" in a remote and scary alley. Before checking in, I asked to see the room. I was led up three flights of narrow steps (there is no elevator) to a small room that had a very small primitive toilet room with a shower spout over the toilet. I informed the manager that I could not stay due to my physical limitations to use both the steep stairs and tiny bathroom with no separate shower space. The manager insisted that I pay a one night cancellation fee. When I protested, I was threatened that I would be "reported" to authorities. Not wanting problems, I paid the price. I did not stay at the hotel but it was worth it to pay the "ransom" not to have to stay at the creepy Lynnwood House. I recommend that you avoid this place and spend a little extra to stay at a place like The Chill Suites City Center. I hope this review saves some...

Read moreMy experience at this hotel was not that great. When my husband and I were dropped off at the end of an ally because the driver was unable to go into the narrow road. It was blocked by a delivery truck and wasn't sure when the truck was going to move so we decided to walk there. When we found the place, there was an overhead sign saying we need to go around to the other side of street to get to the front door. We walked through this alley and people there were looking and staring at us which was a little bit uncomfortable and scary like a scene in a TV show where people get mobbed in a small alley. The whole street smells like trash. We knocked on the door and a young guy greet us and took our bags to our room. Room was clean but the entrance and reception area were dirty. Free breakfast but not hot or fresh. Breakfast was delivered to the room which was cool but an an hour late. Any food that is left in the room is not free. Anything eaten from them is a surcharge with the stay. We stayed on the 6th floor with no elevator by the way. Shower has no hot water. Other than that, they are very nice people. Not sure how this place gets a five star rating. My husband hated this place and wants to give a one star. I give it a two star because the room was clean and the...
