Located right in the city center with easy accessibility to key major landmarks around the area, the hotel has a good and strategic location, and guests can move around easily by foot.||This is our 10th trip to HCMC and the 6th hotel we have stayed in the past 9 years. And this trip we decided to stay here.||There are some "ups and downs" of this hotel but surely it is not 4-star level.||First, the room is rather aged and small (even smaller than those 3-star hotels we have stayed) and the sound barring wall is very poor. We can easily hear what people staying at the next door and also those guests who walk past us. It was loud and every night there were endless noises (on some nights there were also people knocking at our door, maybe drunk guests). And even the air-conditioner had sounds too with dripping water at times (this also happened at the restaurant on the 11th floor)||Our room on the 3rd floor is facing at the back of the building and so no view but it's ok at least better than those without windows.||The beds were comfortable though and the TV has quite a good spread of channels ranging from CCTV to Phoneix to NHK, KBS etc.||The toilet is ok, with a bathtub but water were not that "hot" despite turning on to the biggest.||Room service was well done, used items were replenished like toiletries and bottles of mineral water and cleaned well. Credit must be given to the room service team.||The restaurant was located on the 11th floor (with only one of the 2 lifts accessible to it). The view here was stunning though and the spread was quite extensive but throughout our stay here, the menu remained the same. And so by the 3rd day, you would not feel so "thrilled" at the same food. The foods were generally nice but the chef who manned the live cooking station ought to be more friendly as his attitude was unfriendly. When you talked to him, he did not look at you and raised his voice asking what you want. And his face was stern looking always, almost everyday as if we diners owe him something or he was in his bad mood. Other staff were ok, polite and helpful in serving us the food.||The concierge team was generally friendly and helpful but not so with the staff manning the bar. As the bar was under reno and so they have setup a temporary booth outside the hotel. When we requested for some iced cubes, the staff was unfriendly but she didn't charge us on the first night and just wanted us to "prove" we were guests of the hotel which we showed our room card. However, on the second night, we were told we needed to pay 15,000 don for the ice (per cup). So we went up to the reception counter to inquire thinking that they would help us and have it for free. Guess what? They told us usually they would charge 20,000 don for the ice and already given us "discounts". And when we asked how come we were not told (and charged on the first night), they couldn't give a reason and just smiled. Well, I do know some hotels charged for cups or ice and that's fine. But there should not be any inconsistency (on policies or payments) just within a day. Maybe it's for their "extra income".||In my group of 6, most shared the same sentiments like I do, and in fact they preferred the hotel we stayed last year that was just a good 5-min walk away from here, that was a 3-star (with bigger and better rooms, much highly motivated customer service) though cost more than this one. Right here, their rooms either had dripping water from the aircon (or cracky sound from the aircon) or were not barred from the noise from the walkway or rooms next door. (They were staying on the 5th floor).||So if this hotel is 3-star rating, we would accept it. But being categorized as a 4-star, it's natural that guests have higher but realistic expectations. And we had also stayed in 4-star hotel in HCMC before, and they were generally good deserving that accolade. It is surely not 4-star in our opinion.||In our next revisiting trip to HCMC that will take place in a few months' time (or a year from now), we will source for...

I am Oscar Saigon Hotel Guest alone (solo) but I enjoyed the Nights Events took place in front of Oscar Hotel during my Visited for a Match-making for Future Vietnamese Bride unfortunately I were the victim of scam of a company from Hai Phong City Hanoi and transaction was paid cash with just a Letter Contracted signed between me & the company owner. I lose many thousands dollars to him but learner from Lesson and go on, however the company has been exposing by other many western individuals as well already at Social Media. ( I shared my bad life experienced ). But I was enjoyed the Hotel Daily breakfast start from 6am to 9.30am (Buffet treat Coupon). All the ladies at Oscar Saigon Hotel is beautiful lady.

I thanked to the receptionist ladies who is very helpful and understanding my lose when I told her that I was scammed by a Vietnamese company but local police station there can't take my report due to language and required a Translator and due to most of my money had been scammed I don't have money to hiring them.

Actually I just joined the social media from western sides people commented about the person who scammed me, it has been started circulating since last year November 2023 and after had been scammed then I started researched thoroughly the Match-Marriage Vietnam company and found they had scammed a lot peoples already (victim).

Finally I am happy with the ladies working at Receptionist and enjoyed the foods nearby daily because I am afraid of lost my ways and can't returning back to my room thus usually walking nearby and shopping 🛍️ nearby only.

The Night Show Singer outside hotel is wonderful and she sing very well and I enjoyed it, only I used to see Oscar Saigon Hotel as my companion and watching on me because I am became Solo tourist due to met scammer agency Vietnam so became Alone but enjoyed it everything here is 👍 nice.

Near future if I have time I might be visit again with my Vietnamese wife near future but now still single and on the journeys of courtship to success one day.

If solo I hope to rent a single bed room rather double bed room.

Breakfast is delicious 😋 I enjoyed it the chef cook and the waitress serve me my meal too, if I meet the bad people again maybe I just ignored him

Regards,

Mr Wee ( Guests Hotel ) June...

i stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. when you first enter the hotel, to the left, there is a bar area where you can drink alcohol. to the right is a gathering area, and to the extreme right, is a small shop selling fashion bags. to the front is a meeting room, and toilets. upstairs, there is a garden, more toilets, and more meeting rooms. the meeting rooms generally have audio capabilities.

the three lifts generally work fine. however, one of them is smaller than usual, allowing only one person to move in and out of the lift at any one time.

in your room, you will have a bed, tables with drawers, some packets of coffee and tea, a wardrobe, a mini-bar and a television. the bed is moderately comfortable, but i noticed lots of dust underneath the bed. there is a telephone beside the bed, capable of calling other rooms, room service and the concierge. the soundproofing is non-existent. the window does not provide a view of outside, it is merely a view of a man-made tunnel behind your room.

the bathroom is quite small. there is a toilet bowl, a sink, a hairdryer, a bathtub with a shower head on top of it and some racks with hotel towels on it. the bathtub is generally clean, with some occasional stains. there are instructions on how to place the towels on the bathtub to signal to the staff on what actions should be taken for the towel. the bathroom is generally okay, and there are free dental kits. however, the mirror fogs really easily after a shower.

the service is generally okay. the staff are quite polite and helpful. at the restaurant, it is a self-service buffet. you show your room card to enter. to the left are the drinks, desserts, and breakfast (bread, cornflakes, etc.) sections. to the right are the self-service buffet and staff-manned cooked food sections. the buffet available consists of generally the same things, like bacon, pork, fried rice and sausages.

you can order the set of the day and other things like omelettes at the staff-manned cooked food section. it is not a self-service section. the set of the day usually includes banh mi, which in my opinion, is quite nice. you can enjoy a top view of the surrounding area from...

My family rented 10 rooms one week and 8 the next so we spent a lot of money here and had an awful experience. My second visit they gave me room where they were loudly doing karaoke until 10 pm. We asked to move they offered another room that smelled so moldy it instantly made me ill. So given the choice of noise or smell I took the noise. Then I wake at 8 am to them sanding the floors across the hall from me. I can guess why they needed to repair because the ac unit was POURING water everywhere. After the sanding they started to varnish and stain the wood. Across the hall from me in a room with no window. The chemical was so strong I had to vacate my room. They made me wait 4 hours for a new room. So my luggage had to be stored in a families room. Then the receptionist told us we could rent the room for a half day the next day (so we could shower and prepare for travel before check out) The next day the new staff said they knew nothing about it and we could only rent the room for double the price. So now hours before my international flight i'm repacking and moving to a new hotel. HORRIBLE service. The rooms are subpar at best but when you add insane noise (from a party INSIDE their building) and the disgusting smell I wouldn't recommend my enemy to stay here.

I stayed here for a week for business trip. I was amazed when I got out of my hotel in the evening. The long stretch of street right outside the hotel is filled with street performers, street food pushcarts, Singers, etc. It is walking distance to the tourist spots, pharmacy, convenience store, cafes and restaurants as well. For the room wise, it was considered huge for the most basic room. It comes with amenties kit, shaver, comb, toothbrush, slippers. There is a fridge, desk and a big wardrobe, bath tub, and a safe box. Facilities wise, there is a small gym, spa (paid), and restaurant which you can opt in for daily breakfast. Overall, I would highly recomend this for their convenience, price, and service.

I recently stayed at the hotel and would like to share some feedback. While most areas of the service were acceptable, I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff near the entrance. When I arrived and needed assistance with my luggage, the staff member was standing nearby but showed little interest in helping. Instead, he continued using his phone and appeared indifferent. I eventually had to ask the front desk for support. This lack of attentiveness left a negative impression, especially considering the expectations I had for a hotel of this standard. I hope management will address this to ensure a more consistent experience for future guests.
