Extremely terrible. Can’t believe we just spent 1.5 million on dinner here, on our last night.
Drinks: “Passion fruit martini” sounded lovely, we ordered two. It was coffee and passion fruit. Awful. Sent both back (and my husband loves coffee!). It’s insane that the menu simply says “passion fruit” if it’s passion fruit and coffee. That’s an extremely important distinction. At least TELL the person who orders it then. My partner who really likes coffee also could not drink it.
I then ordered a margarita which was somehow just as terrible as the “passion fruit” martini. Tasted like the cheapest alcohol they could possibly find and then they stirred it with a lime slice and that was it. Truly so bad, I grimaced and said they could take it back. I LOVE margaritas. This bartender could NOT make cocktails. But because I sent it back after one sip, they discounted me 35,000 from the 175,000 price of the drink, wow 🙄
Watermelon lychee tea- almost could have been alright but the glass had not been rinsed well and tasted of soap.
Passionfruit syrup tea- this was ok.
Green papaya and beef jerky salad- fairly tasteless, only taste was fish sauce we added, and there was a ton of fennel (liquorice taste). That was ok for me but a lot of people don’t like it, it should really be in the description. My husband did not like it. I didn’t enjoy the dish overall.
Fried spring rolls were pretty good.
Steamed cake appetizer, mostly uneaten. Very bland and terrible texture (not made properly, normally we like this).
“Famous Vietnamese shaken beef with vegetables and fries” beef was very rare and tasteless. Vegetables were ice cold. Fries were a little warm but very soggy. No taste to any of it.
Had ordered a Vietnamese duck dish but they couldn’t make it. In a panic ordered Thai curry instead. Taste was okay (did not taste like Thai curry but taste was fine) but the “chicken” in it was the first thing I’ve ever spit out at a restaurant. I don’t know what on earth it was.
Portions were small but that was fine as we didn’t eat much of anything anyway 😅
Absolutely cannot recommend this place. Steer clear and spend your money somewhere else. 1.5 million (after 20% off that one drink) for mostly undrinkable and inedible food and...
Read moreI have multiple businesses in multiple countries including this one. Trust me when I say I know good customer service and products when I see it or lack thereof.
It is a Vietnamese and Western menu with things I enjoy as an American like the club sandwich. It's a great place to sit in nice cool air conditioning or to sit outside watching people go by on the very popular family Walking Street. Not to be confused with Bui Vien night club walking street.
I also owned restaurants and bars. There are many people doing the same thing selling the same products in a large city like this one. So allow me to tell you how this place is forging ahead, customer service.
Employees such as Uyen (wears blue dress gas braces for description purposes) and Helen who pours the water for me when I order a bottle of water do so much more to make sure the experience is a rememberable one.
On multiple occasions I've seen these two individuals along with most of the staff go above and beyond. Please make sure they are acknowledged. Helen can be seen...
Read moreUpon discovering this establishment through an online search, I was intrigued by its purported ambiance conducive to studying and working. Regrettably, the experience proved disappointing. The exorbitant menu prices can be attributed to the café's location within one of the city's most expensive real estate areas. However, it is important to note that the listed prices exclude taxes and service charges, which collectively inflate the total cost by an additional 30%. Consequently, this establishment appears to primarily cater to high-income clientele seeking business meetings, rendering it less appealing to tourists and locals alike. Despite this, the café offers a diverse range of coffee options and a restaurant-style menu. However, my order of a coconut durian coffee, while featuring an unconventional combination of flavors, failed to leave a favorable impression. In light of this experience, I would recommend exploring alternative establishments for a more authentic and affordable taste of Saigon's renowned...
