The Chill Garden & Villas is located midway down the slope on the way to Cat Cat Village, offering wide, expansive views of the surrounding mountains. You can even see the cable cars going up to Fansipan. Waking up to the sunrise through the window is a beautiful experience. The host is warm, friendly, and attentive to guests' needs.
The room for four people isn’t very spacious, with a bed and loft area, and the bathroom is small but fully equipped. During my stay, my group was the only one there, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.
There's a small bar at the top, but it wasn’t very usable due to dust from large vehicles passing nearby. The lower area has about 5-6 houses and a BBQ area in the middle, where you can ask the host to bring ingredients for grilling. Cars can reach the entrance, but they need to park overnight at a nearby lot for around 30,000 VND. Motorcycle rentals here are pricier than in town, and the bikes aren’t in top condition, so you’ll need to fill up on gas.

We’ve been traveling in Vietnam for three weeks, and this is by far the worst hotel we’ve encountered. The photos looked idyllic, but the reality was completely different.
Upon arrival, before even seeing our room, we were asked to pay the full amount upfront. This had never happened in any other hotel we stayed at.
A large dog barked non-stop throughout the night despite our complaints, making sleep impossible. The place was filthy—cobwebs, mosquitoes everywhere, and the bathroom was in a deplorable state. The shower had no hot water; after a few seconds of lukewarm water, it turned cold.
The mattress was paper-thin and rock-hard, making for a terrible night’s sleep. There was no remote control for the heater—I had to borrow one from a neighbor. No toilet paper was provided upon arrival, and I had to ask for some. Even a simple bottle of water wasn’t available for free; we had to buy it.
In summary: no service, unsanitary conditions, and a sleepless night. By far the worst hotel we’ve stayed in...
Read moreThe room was beautiful and had a really nice view. We got both cloudy and sunny days, and it was always nice to wake up and see out of the window. Our host was really nice and accommodating. She didn't speak good English but she always found the way to give us good service. The room could use some renovation but didn't really matter for us. It is located really close to Cat Cat Village but if you want to reach Sapa Centre you need to walk uphill for a while. Although taking a grab up was cheap so you have a good solution. So if you want some peace, nice view and good hosting this can...
