Funny Restaurant & pub — Restaurant in Sa Pa Ward

The chef is a lovely woman, funny and kind and with great pets :) we where here for drinks in the evening first. It was our third bar that night, (the other two were the typical foreigner ones) and by far the best. The pool table is great too.

We returned the next lunch for some more food and drinks, this time with the kids and it was great. We ordered ribs, duck, some veggie dishes and burgers and it was all amazing food. In fact we ordered the duck again. Just to snack more delicious food. The veggie dishes weren't amazing but still very good.

There were also two guys who sat around and never seemed to help with anything much. I very much hope the lady owns the place. And that is also maybe the only small complaint. The guys smoked inside and we didn't want to eat in the air, but for sitting outside it was a little cold.

Oh and the view is nice. And it is a comfy space.

Funny Restaurant & Pub is located halfway up a hill, close to the Cat Cat village, and offers a spacious, airy atmosphere. One of its highlights is the outdoor seating area, where you can enjoy a great view of the mountains and even see the cable car going up to Fansipan Peak. The menu is diverse, with plenty of food and drink options. The restaurant also has a dartboard and a pool table that guests can play for free. Plus, there's a friendly and playful cat that adds to the charm of the place.

The place was amazing. The staff was friendly. When we were there, I think they just opened so there were not many customers. We chose to sit there to enjoy the view to the valley. It was a quiet place to talk that morning. The design was beautiful. Everything was clean. Inside, it's a really pub with nice drawings on the walls. Outside, there was an area which was good to have a BBQ party. There was tables that has the view straight to the mountains and the alley. I ordered a drink named Cinderella. It tasted really good.
