Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We have been travelling round SE Asia for the last three months and this was probably the worst meal we’ve had. The atmosphere of the restaurant is brilliant, and feels very authentic and local, but the food itself is a huge letdown. We ordered a chicken hotpot, a fried rice and some sturgeon to share between the three of us. The rice itself was extremely under seasoned and so bland, it was impossible to eat without adding the soy sauce they provided. Half of the chicken they provided for the hot pot was inedible as it was just parts of the rib cage that had hardly any meat on it. The broth itself was incredibly bland as well. The sturgeon was the worst part. We ordered the deep fried salt-crusted sturgeon and somehow it tasted of lake water. The batter was tasteless and despite the appearance of lots of salt, no nice flavour was present. We were incredibly disappointed as the other reviews made it seem like a fantastic place to eat, it was unfortunately not for us. A huge disappointment, especially as it was quite pricey compared to other restaurants in the local area. Possibly it is very nice for locals, but not for tourists...
