HOUSE OF LÝ — Hotel in Hue City

Madame Ly was AMAZING. My friend and I booked 3 nights here and enjoyed the room and Hue so much that we extended our stay to 5 days.

Rooms were huge and spacious, and very clean. Beds and the sheets were soft and we had an extremely good sleep every night. Towels and good quality shampoo as well as soap were provided.

However, the highlight of the stay was Madame Ly herself. She was always kind, funny, and tried her best to communicate with us. We were always super happy to speak with her! She even gave us homemade yoghurt that she made herself.

During the stay, Hue experienced flooding. It was our very first time experiencing a natural disaster, and we were unable to go out. There was also no electricity and internet connection due to the flooding. Madame Ly went out of her way to cook for us lunch and dinner, and gave us snacks and water since we could not go out due to the flood. She was kind enough to make sure that we were doing okay and always checked up on us.

We loved our stay thanks to Madame Ly and already miss her yoghurt. She made sure we were always comfortable and her house was always welcoming. We love you Madame Ly, can’t wait to see...

Great location (in a guiet side street next to the hustle and bustle), very clean, great and quick communication (thank you Google translate) and most important lovely and helpful owner!! We really felt like part of the family. We arrived early morning because of sleeper bus from Hanoi. We could get ourselves refreshed in another room and leave our suitcases in that room, while they where getting our room ready. My boyfriend got sick and she was so good, bringing him medication, making porridge, etc. Through her we got in touch with a doctor that came to give him a check up. Lovely calm and comfortable stay, the room was basic but immaculately clean with a lovely big comfy bed, air con and a fan, great shower in the bathroom/wet room, there was a very very small balcony but it was so nice to have a little private outside space. Our host was a lovely lady who did not speak any English but used Google translate which worked very well, she was able to give us directions and recommendations, she also did our laundry. The homestay is in a small alley about one street back from walking street but it’s incredibly quiet! Would definitely stay...
