Myself and my partner spent two nights here. The room we stayed in wasn't clean. Had all sorts of stains on the sheets, dirty mirrors, bed felt damp. One of the staff walked into our room on our first evening, causing us to lock the door constantly even if we are in the room. The staff were borderline harrasing us throughout. After briefly mentioning when checking in that we might be interested in renting a moped, we couldn't leave or come back to the hotel without being harassed about it. My partner got snuck up on a few times whilst having a cigarette outside and was poked multiple times. On check in, we were asked where we were going next, we told them. Then for us to also be bullied over the two days into buying a bus ticket through them so they would stop insisting. Considering when we booked on Hostelworld it sounded brilliant, the price seemed fair. But it is severely overpriced considering the state of the place. Very money hungry staff, not sure where the money they make is going though, as it isn't...
Read moreWe arrived to Hue earlier this week. 3 friends traveling together. We had not made prior reservations but stumbled upon Lam Bao Long. The room looked okay for price $5 per person. No breakfast included. We were not told how to turn hot water on so most of our stay was with cold showers. The location is great, very central but extremely noisy. At the end of our stay the manager accused me of ruining one of the white sheets in my room due to my tattoo staining it. I've had my tattoos for 10+ years. This does not happen. He wanted me to pay $25 USD for one white sheet. Seemed totally outrageous and he was very rude and not friendly at all. I offered to pay $10 and we settled at $15 only because I was worried he would not give our passports back. this made my stay at this hotel one of the most expensive on this whole trip. I would not recommend this place, there are many awesome hotels and home stays nearby. Don't go to...
Read moreWe bought a bus ticket to go to Hoi An because they have a bus transfer service. After paid 200.000VND per each ticket (which is pretty expensive compared to the local prices), we were waiting for almost two hours and they told us that the bus just forgot us and the bus was coming back to pick us up. After another half an hour a car picked us up to go to the Camel Travel agency (I guess the operational agency), they said that they are very sorry sorry and that is all (the bus was not coming back, which was a lie). They were not going to fix the problem and we found ourselves three ours later trying to find a plan B to go to Hoi An that day on our own (we went to the south bus station and pick up a bus from there to Da Nang for half price and cheaper for locals).
The girl in the hotel was pretty nice and super sorry, but I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy the bus here because they use...
