Nhà nghỉ Minh Tâm — Hotel in Hue City

I have been traveling Asia for 5 months now and this is the first time I have left a negative review.

I would not recommend staying here.

Firstly - the beds are incredibly hard. We tried asking for new beds but it was all they had. Also the area is great for proximity of things to do in Hue, but it’s also very loud every night - in the street and also in the accommodation. My friend and I both got the worst sleep of our entire trip for the three nights we stayed here.

But the worst part of staying there was that I felt like I was being manipulated into a scam. Here is the story: I was trying to catch a bus to Laos and asked them to call a Vietnamese number for me to confirm some more details about the bus that I had already organized to take. When they got off the phone they told me the bus does NOT go Thakhek, Laos like I thought and claimed that it could be dangerous for me to arrange it by myself. And then conveniently offered to arrange a bus to Laos for me (which was conveniently leaving from the same bus station at the same time) that was DOUBLE the price of what I had arranged.

So I politely declined and quickly started to feel manipulated so I asked 2 more people I met to call the number for me and ask about the bus and both confirmed that the information I originally had was correct and the bus does go to Thakhek. So it does seem that the hotel was trying to scare me out of taking my original bus and instead take their suggestion...

Mình vừa có dịp lưu trú 2 đêm tại khách sạn Minh Tâm – Huế, và thực sự rất hài lòng! Dù không phải khách sạn cao cấp, nhưng nơi đây mang đến cảm giác ấm cúng, sạch sẽ và gần gũi như về nhà.

Phòng ốc sạch sẽ, gọn gàng, thơm tho, từ ga giường đến nhà vệ sinh đều tinh tươm, không một chút mùi ẩm mốc. Không gian rất yên tĩnh, lý tưởng để nghỉ ngơi sau cả ngày lang thang phố Huế.

Điều làm mình nhớ mãi chính là sự tử tế của cô chủ. Cô không chỉ dễ thương, vui vẻ mà còn rất quan tâm khách. Hôm tụi mình về lại Sài Gòn thì đúng lúc Huế đón cơn bão lớn, mưa trắng trời. Cô không ngại đội mưa, cầm dù che cho từng người, rồi đưa tụi mình ra tận xe. Dù trời mưa gió tơi bời, cô vẫn đứng đợi cho đến khi xe lăn bánh mới chịu quay vào. Khoảnh khắc đó thực sự khiến tụi mình cảm động, thấy Huế không chỉ đẹp vì cảnh mà còn vì tấm lòng của người Huế như cô.

Vị trí khách sạn cũng tiện lợi – gần trung tâm, dễ đi đến các địa điểm nổi tiếng như Đại Nội, chợ Đông Ba, sông Hương...

Giá cả thì quá hợp lý với chất lượng và sự chăm sóc nhận được – đặc biệt phù hợp cho du lịch tự túc, nhóm bạn hay gia đình nhỏ.

Có một điểm trừ nho nhỏ là khách sạn không có thang máy. Nhưng đừng lo, vì các cô ở đây sẽ giúp mang vali lên tận phòng, rất nhiệt tình. Và thật lòng mà nói, với sự thân thiện và chu đáo của cô chủ, thì điểm trừ đó hoàn toàn có thể bỏ qua!

👉 Tóm lại: Nếu bạn đang tìm một nơi lưu trú ở Huế vừa sạch sẽ, ấm áp, giá tốt, lại có một cô chủ tận tình như người thân, thì Minh Tâm là nơi không thể bỏ qua. Mình chắc chắn sẽ quay lại trong những lần sau! Do mình quên chụp phòng khách sạn nên mình dùng tạm những hình cảnh ở Huế nhen

I recently stayed two nights at Minh Tâm Hotel in Hue, and it was truly a wonderful experience. While it's not a luxury hotel, it offers something even better: cleanliness, comfort, and genuine warmth.

The room was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh, with crisp white sheets and a tidy, dry bathroom. The entire place was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the city.

But what touched me the most was the incredible kindness of the host. She was friendly, always smiling, and made us feel like family. On the day we left, there was a huge storm hitting Hue — strong wind, heavy rain. Despite the weather, she held an umbrella and personally walked each of us to the car, making sure we stayed dry. And she didn’t leave until our car had safely driven off. That moment was deeply touching — the kind of care that stays in your heart.

The location is also convenient, just a short distance from Hue’s main attractions like the Imperial City, Dong Ba Market, and the Perfume River.

The price was extremely reasonable for the level of comfort and service we received. It’s a perfect stay for solo travelers, couples, families, or small groups.

One small downside: there’s no elevator. But honestly, it’s not a big issue because the staff gladly helped us carry our luggage upstairs. And with such warm hospitality, this minor inconvenience is easy to overlook.

👉 In short: If you're looking for a place in Hue that is clean, cozy, affordable, and offers true Vietnamese hospitality, Minh Tâm Hotel is a hidden gem. I would absolutely stay here again on my next...

We stayed for 1 night in Hue and had almost two days to experience the City. Our host Ding at Minh Tam Guest House was really helpfull to recommend places to see and even took us on a 3 hour bike ride to must-see places too far away for walking. We got a very clean room on the top floor with view over the streets and super comfy beds. We had a lot of wool chlothes which cannot be washed by machine but the Guesthouse-mom offered to wash it by hand and we got it back the same night, perfectly clean and nice smelling.
