Me and my family were on a budget so we decided to stay here instead of the hotel we were planning to stay in before.||||At first glance in the daylight the room seems clean and nice but its the total opposite.||||After a whole day of going out to take pictures around the city of Hue, I went to take a nice peaceful shower before going to bed and there is a disgusting pile of junk/trash stuck in the corner and it is absolutely disgusting.||||I called my friend to tell her about my day and all of a sudden a bug comes out of nowhere from the bed. ||And even worse, when i came out of the shower there was a small lizard on the wall.||||Me and my cousin were absolutely disgusted and wanted out but we couldn’t. When it was time for bed we went to turn on the lamp on the bedside table and turns out it was broken, the tv channels were all glitchy and staticky, the desk was so close to the bed that you couldnt even open the cabinet to get to the fridge, and the walls are just full of random scratches and dirty stains.||||Also there was a sign that said something about a bar that my uncle was excited about and then the owner or an employee told us that its held off and we can just go to the cafe next door. My uncle then also later asks if theres a pool and again the worker said to go to the cafe next door. Its’s just unbelievable that the hotel doesnt seem to be fixing the stuff and just say we could go to the stores next door like that.||||The bed in my uncles room felt like it was made of plastic. It kept bending, making creeking sounds whenever we sit on it and it feels hard as rock.||My bed felt so itchy that I had to wear a jacket to decrease chances of getting bugbites.||||Honestly this has to be the 2nd worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.||Also they might have free wifi but my cousin has hardly been able to see a yt video at all and mines let me watch a...
Read moreLet me start this review by saying that it was definitely my home away from home! I lived in Hue for over 1 year on a job there and for the first 5 months I tried several other hotels in Hue until I found the Thanh Uyen hotel. I stayed here for 8 months and I was very happy. The location was excellent, large room with modern decor, large clean modern bathroom, staff were accommodating and the roof-top cafe is excellent for lounging (best view in Hue). I like to stay in a quiet hotel to relax and this was a perfect hotel considering it was only 5 minutes walk to the tourist area.||||It is very easy to catch a taxi at this location and you can rent a motorbike if you want to. Lots of restaurants nearby and only 5 minutes walk to the tourist area.||||If you need anything, the staff or Paul (Manager) will be more then helpful. I will definitely stay there...
Read more1 star is mainly for the bed. Unacceptable if it was free, truly the worst bed I have ever slept on in my life. The hotel was recommended by our hotel in Hanoi. The front desk staff didn't speak English, the Hanoi hotel staff made the reservation for us as a result. We were supposed to email and receive a confirmation, but again, after emailing we needed our Hanoi hotel to call again at the end of the day because they did not return our email, although they did confirm receiving it. It was cheap with paper thin walls, however for a few bucks more another hotel nearby was night and day. Breakfast (included) was decent so long as you get the BBH. It was clean. Bathroom was good. Air conditioning worked well. Staff smiled. Maybe just don't...
