Gold Hotel — Hotel in Hue City

Nice hotel and in a good location: very close to the main bars and pubs.

Given only 3 stars because of the following reasons:

When we got the room (two hours later than the regular check-in time, which is 14.00) our room wasn't provided with towels (needed to phone the reception) and the spa closes at 4pm, so you've just two hours of time from the regular check-in time to join the service, relevant if you are on 1 night stay and you are interested in it.

The kettle in the room was a little bit rusty inside.

The tiny sky bar would have had a nice view, but the windows were dirty so that the view was really cloudy and the prices there too much high.

We had the impression that the staff was a little bit messy because when we arrived a girl told us to leave the luggage in the hall so that a guy would have brought us our bags, but, as soon as we arrived in our room a receptionist phoned us asking why we left the bags in the hall..

Maybe it was just an impression, but seemed that there were a lot of people working there and some misunderstandings...

The lobby seemed alright. When we went to our room, half of the doors to the rooms (incl ours) where wide open. Big stains on the carpet, super small tv, no power outlet next to the bed etc. When I wanted to close the bathroom door, I got a bloody hand as long sharp screws were sticking out of the bathroom door!!! Somebody had taken the door knob off... Staff apologized and have us an “upgrade to a triple room.... which had mould all over the wall, and the hot water turned cold after 2 min shower (plus very dirty bathroom with smears on the wall, flipflops which don’t match inside, a super stained carpet in the hallway and so on...). Took 25 min and 2 phone calls to get my money back and leave this place... This hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel as stated on booking. Com . Room is small compare to what is described on Agoda (25 m2). In actuality, it's close to 20 m2. The bathroom need serious update and it's kind of small for a 4 stars hotel. The room does not have the usual quality of 4 stars hotel including basic bathroom kits such as toothbrush, shampoo and towel (old need replacement). I booked a double bed with city, they gave me twins. No problem, but the room lack lot of little details and i booked city view instead i got a view of the wall of the next building. I can literally touch the building next door. Worst of all, the wifi is render useless. It's so slow and my 4g doesn't work well in this building.
