The place has aged a bit since the photos that have been put up. The room we had seems much smaller than those pictured. Definitely a situation of your get what you pay for.
It's still a reasonably comfortable place to stay. At first a number of the staff members seemed entirely disinterested in helping us as guests, offering nothing beyond the minimum welcome. However, we really appreciated the offer of a shower and use of the bathroom at the end of the day, before our train trip that night. We had checked out that morning and left our luggage while visiting the city.
It's found down a little alley coming off the main esplanade running parralel to the beach. A short walk from the weekend beach parties, if you're keen for that, and the beach is practically across the road There are dive shops just around the corner. From the higher floors you have a view of the rediculous looking amusement park being constructed on the island across the waters. There's also a hidden vegetarian restaurant a short walk away.
The biggest tip I can offer you though is to say that Nha Trang is great if you're keen to party with Russian or Chinese tourists or if you want to go diving. Otherwise, this city is just a big, noisy, mess with a beach that is filthy with trash from the late night revelers and those recovering from hangovers the...
Read moreThe reported standard as advertised as 8.1 is very misleading and I would rate it as 4/10.. I have stayed in many hotels in Vietnam and in Nha Trang from 5 star to 2 star. I was not impressed by this hotel for several reasons. The rooms are old and the bed like a rock. One of the towels was dirty. The bathroom floor was slippery. There were no tissues supplied and the Internet computer at the front desk was not working. Also the Laundry I had done came back in a very poor condition. After 2 nights I moved to another hotel where I had stayed previously called The Nice Swan which was actually cheaper on the Internet and the rooms much nicer.||Because of my complaints the Manager of the Ha Thu Hotel reduced my room rate to 350,000 Dong a day wishfully hoping I would not give them a bad report.||The Management of this hotel have some work to do to improve...
Read moreBasic necessities room. Dirty and found long black hairs on floor. Tiniest TV they should have ceiling mounted on swivel arm to allow more storage in compact room. No free or paid water offered which is standard in other hotels. Prefer larger miniature refrigerator with free water instead of tiny TV. Large window that allows people to look in your room and minimizes privacy. Frail door lock. Bathroom feels overly compact and they could have used space more efficiently. Staff does not speak English and trouble understanding I wanted to pay with credit card. No tours provided or suggested. Thankful I found tour suggestions at airport. Ask for the What's On Nha Trang travel magazine and helps if you...
