This hotel is on a narrow alley that's as hard for a taxi to negotiate as it is to find. But, it is otherwise conveniently located, being on the west side of the Tue Tin / Biet Thu tourist area. Within a 10-15 minute walk, you'll be able to access a multitude of shops, restaurants, and ATM's, as well as the attractive beach and prominade areas both north and south of the Sailing Club. So, you're close to the action, but shouldn't have much traffic or music noise to contend with.||||The hotel is a 13 story building, with a small exercise room (4 aerobic machines only) and open view deck on the 13th floor, senior rooms on the 12th floor, restaurant on the 11th floor, and various guest rooms on the floors below that. The potential view is pretty good on the higher floors, offering open city/mountain views to the north, west, and east, and more of a closed-in, big city building view to the east. There is underground parking, no pool, and no balcony rooms facing the best south or west view.||||My check-in went quite well with an exceptionally friendly, helpful staff that not only gave me a free upgrade to an apartment, but also accommodated my room preference. The doorman, maids, and restaurant staff were also equally friendly, making for a pleasant stay environment. English was mixed with the staff, with some doing well and some not.||||My apartment was quite large, clean, and roach free. It was well furnished with 2 firm, comfortable beds, a work desk, clothes closet, window seat chairs, kitchen, and modern bath with separate glassed rain shower. It also was quite bright with its full wall of windows - viewing east into half open cityscape and adjacent, towering buildings. The wifi worked well duing my 3 day stay, and the TV had 3 movie channels, Nat Geo, Discovery, CNN and a couple of other english channels.||||The nice hotel had a few problems though that affect its rating: ||||First, my 9th floor room, though 2 floors below the restaurant, had horrendous chair scraping noises from above that woke me up at 5:30 am every day and continued for most of an hour. There were also multiple construction jobs nearby that didn't penetrate the room too bad, but would detract from the desire to use the balcony during the day.||||Second, the bathroom had a bad smell that just wouldn't go away, despite leaving the fan on and trying to cover the drain. It was annoying upon every entry.||||Third, my apartment's balcony was not private, and in fact, was easily accessable from the hallway. So, there was no leaving it open to use as I normally would, and the door from there to my room was pretty insecure even when closed. ||||Fourth, the outside hallway carpets were grossly filthy - completely inconsistent with the rest of the hotel.||||Fifth, despite having a lit, red, do not disturb sign turned on at my door, the maids thought it appropriate to knock on my door at 8:30am the third day. Over my objections, they attempted to enter the room anyway, and were stopped only by my door's safety latch.||||Sixth, while the Vietnamese breakfast spread was impressively extensive, the western food choice was quite poor. Admittedly, this is common in Vietnam, but still a negative to note.||||Despite the flaws, this is a good hotel choice for a short stay, and might be acceptable for a long stay if the right room was held for a discount price. It's worth 4 stars upon close inspection...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for one night. The entrance to the hotel is located down an alley way, but nothing to feel unsafe about, just a bit different. The staff is nice, but there was more of a language barrier than we experienced at other hotels in Nha Trang. The rooms are basic, but slightly larger than normal.||||A couple issues with the hotel. First, the breakfast was solely Vietnamese / Chinese breakfast. I just couldn't get myself to eat pho or spicy pork with rice for breakfast. There are no western options. Also, we asked the staff to hold our bags after checkout while we went on a day tour. We asked that they store a couple valuables in the hotel safe. The staff put the valuables in the safe but refused to lock the safe for some reason, which created anxiety while we were out all day. Finally, the hotel is tailored more for Chinese and Russian tourists, who tend to be louder and impolite. For example, we witnessed one guest spit on the carpeted floor.||||Moral is, there are better options in Nha Trang at a similar price. My advice is to spend the money for more peaceful resort experience...
Read moreYes, Maple Leaf Hotel and Apartments maybe a little hard to find at first because it’s down an alley, but believe me, you’ll say thank you because it’s so nice and peaceful off the main drag! The rooms are stunningly fitted out, and still smell brand new. We had a two bedroom apartment and it is very well kitted our with beautiful timber finishes. It was extremely comfortable too. The views are enormous, right the way out past Vin Pearl Island where the giant Ferris wheel dominates the skyline. The hotel staff are very attentive and looked after our check in and out quite efficiently. It is in a very central area, within ten minutes walk of about 100 bars/clubs/Street did stalls and so close to the night markets. Excellent venue and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to friends. Book it through Air BnB and you’ll save...
