Hotel Phúc Lâm Grand World — Hotel in Phú Quốc

I put the wrong review up for another hotel. This place is infested with lizards, not what the other place has.

I had a strange stay at this one. First they tried to put me in a cramped one bedroom basically closet sized room that is not what I paid for a large two bed room or in the photographs. This needlessly upset me. I was told to be on the watch for scams in Vietnam and it’s true this happens as a hotel down the street did this. It is possible this was a misunderstanding. But some things they have written since are false. I wonder if it’s anti American hatred or what. Lame.

Later on, one day i didn’t wish to leave the room when the cleaning crew came. I had a bit of a cough from quitting vaping. I was not sick. I was doing remote work. The staff is overly paranoid from COVID or something and came up with some headcanon that i had a fever apparently. This became an excuse not to clean my room anymore. Some days they would leave water bottles in a bag outside the room. Some days they wouldn’t do that.

Lizards are all inside the room. This is a new remodeled building this doesn’t need to be like this. But the staff leaves all the doors and windows open. I watched myself how a lizard would crawl from an open window they leave open outside your room into a guest room.

The lizards would make strange clicking sounds. It is better than the cockroaches down the street but still unsettling.

Stayed one night at this hotel on 19/1/2014. My family is truly in love with this hotel. The owner can speak very little English but she was very friendly and allowed us to check in early and even helped us to carry our big luggages up to the room. There is no lif in the hotel. Therefore if you are traveling with big luggages , would be better to request for a lower floors. Each floor has only one room. We booked the family room for 4 persons and came with two big king beds. Strong air con with good wifi. Strong shower current. The rooms comes with kettle, hair dryer, and necessary toiletries. The hotel itself has a cafe on the ground floor. We had our breakfast there on the next morning. They have limited options for breakfast. We ordered french toast and eggs. Hotel guests should get 10% discount on beverages but the owner forgot to give us discount tho. The location is very close to the main entrance of the grand world. Less than 5 mins. We took the free Vinbus from the town to Grand world bus stop and then from the bus stop we walked about 8mins to reach this hotel. The feeder vehicles will impose certain cost to send you to the hotel. The driver wanna charge us 30k dong. We opted to walk as the hotel is less than 500m from the bus stop at grand world. Oceniam pokoje nie porównując ich do hoteli za duże większe pieniądze, bo w takim przypadku tanie hotele miałyby zawsze gorszą ocenę od nich. Ten apartament zasługuje na dobrą ocenę ze względu na stosunek ceny do jakości usługi. Dostaliśmy pokój 201 - czysty, duży, myślę że ponad 35-40m2 z dużymi dwoma łóżkami, pachnącym ręcznikami, z przyborami do golenia, szczoteczkami do zębów itp. Jest też lodówka i duży telewizor płaski, do którego można podłączyć swój smart Tv że wszystkimi swoimi serwisami streamingowymi (zawsze z takim stickem jeżdżę by mieć pod ręką wszystkie swoje serwisy nie logując się do serwisów na TV) . Jest kanapa duża przed TV z pufami i stołem. Czego można jeszcze chcieć więcej ?? 👍👍👍 Wielkim plusem tego apartamentu jest jego lokalizacja. Praktycznie 2 minuty od wejścia do Grand World, 5 minut od dworca autobusowego skąd odjeżdżają autobusy 17, 19, 20 i wszystkie V M. In. V4. 1 do Vinpearl itp. W odległości 100 metrów są sklepy spożywcze, restauracje, budki z jedzeniem. Oczywiście nie jest to apartament hotelowy w którym chciałbym spędzić 2 tygodnie (brak basenu, i innych udogodnień) Ale na zatrzymanie się z rodziną na parę dni celem zwiedzenia północy wyspy Phu Quoc to idealne miejsce za bardzo dobra cenę. Dodam jeszcze, że na drugi dzień otrzymaliśmy dodatkowe kilka butelek wody mineralnej. Obsługa i zameldowanie trwało dosłownie 5 min. Jak będę na północy zapewne skorzystam z tego miejsca ponownie. Nie zrobiłem niestety filmu i zdjęć ale zauważyłem w innej opinii pokój numer 201 na filmie. Więc można...
