We specifically checked Google Maps before going - this place had over 500 reviews with a 4.9 rating, which is why we decided to try it. But it turned out to be completely misleading! The whole reason for coming to Vietnam was to eat authentic, delicious pho. This restaurant is not only ridiculously overpriced (150,000 VND for a 'special' beef pho!), their broth is a complete joke - it's just sweet soy sauce flavored water, absolutely NOT authentic Vietnamese style. Everything was outrageously expensive - our meal for 5 adults cost 2 million VND! Real pho broth should be painstakingly simmered with beef bones, but these guys just took the lazy way out with their fake sweet soy sauce soup. Zero effort, zero...

I was skeptical to come here because it's in this resort built tourist trap but I will say we were pleasantly surprised when we got our bowl of pho! It says a lot when they're the only stall that's not hustling you to come and eat it there. The pho speaks for itself! I guess it speaks how busy they are. And noodles are so good that we ordered a second bowl! The fried shrimp were a little lackluster, especially for being a seafood town, but our second bowl of pho made up for it! One of the best dishes I've ever had at this restaurant is the Bun Cha Ha Noi. It was so delicious that I came back three times just to have it again. The vegetables were clean and crispy fresh, and the fish sauce made specifically for this dish was perfectly balanced and superb.
