Liberty Sapa Hotel — Hotel in Sa Pa Ward

Hands down best hotel experience in our Vietnam trip! The room was vv spacious with comfy beds, clean CR, working heater. We also had a balcony with a mountain view (can be chosen when booking).

The couple caretaker were very nice. Service top notch because we asked if he can refer us a taxi service to the Lao Cai Train Station. He said he has a friend and he will contact. On the day of our departure, he said that his friend had an emergency and can’t come. Instead of letting us fend for ourselves, he offered to take us for the same/regular rate!

Good customer service really makes a difference because I’ve been recommending this hotel to my friends who plan on going to Sa Pa.

Location is 4-star because it’s not in the center (near Sa Pa lake). Google says it’s a 15 minute walk but you need to consider that it’s uphill (going to the center) so can be longer. I didn’t mind anyway since I like walking, it’s just that Sa Pa is not very pedestrian friendly. There’s not much walkways (you have to walk on the road) so need to be very careful. No streetlights at night as well, you have to rely on the lights...

Loved everything about our stay! The views were unreal, we absolutely loved Sapa and waking up to this view on our balcony.

The staff were really nice and friendly. We had to wait until late for a sleeper bus and they let us leave our bags. After our day out, we returned and they let us wait, charge our phones and gave us some water. They even booked us a taxi and helped carry our bags.

The rooms and bathrooms were really nice and clean. Toiletries provided and an air freshener left the room smelling nice. We enjoyed a comfy double bed each, the tv, a sofa and little coffee table in the room, with free water and hot drinks provided. Very spacious room with a little balcony. Few restaurants around and right opposite Moana.

We think this is a very good spot for the price. The rooms are nice and relatively new and we booked the family suite to get a very decent sized balcony, 2 beds and a beautiful view. Sunset was magnificent. They also rented us scooters at 120000 VND per day which we returned after dinner. Unfortunately for Liberty both buildings next door are under construction and the noise is not pleasant. Having said that there is construction all over SaPa.
