I came for the golden retriever… stayed for the homemade hot sauce. And at a really great price from a local restaurant in a very tourist filled town.
This place is a little off the beaten path in Sa Pa but is by far the best place for hotpot. We were the only white people / tourists in the restaurant but the 2 girls running the kitchen answered every question we asked and were serving and cooking for the whole restaurant in a little kitchen. Food was quick, the homemade hot sauce isn’t too spicy but has an amazing sour/salty/sweet mix to it - she said it’s a secret recipe of local fruit, fish sauce, spices. She even gave us a little to take away.
We got Tom Yum and sichuan hot pot mixed. Highly recommend the vegetables (a full head of cabbage that soaks up all the flavour at the end) and all the types of beef and the enochi mushrooms).
But the perfectly behaved golden retriever that meets you at the door (Chi) makes the whole meal. If you call her over she won’t beg for food she just sits there wanting your attention. Perfect mascot for an awesome restaurant. I wish I could have bought their hot sauce. Please support this place and keep it in business, a lot of the other restaurants in Sa Pa were way overpriced and very bland food, we had trouble picking restaurants after talking to everyone we met in the town and reading reviews. Lots of really bad Italian food you...

We got two mains and two sides - vermicelli noodles with vegan beef, bien rule, vegan “squid” in black bean sauce (king oyster mushrooms) and eggplant fritters. We must say we thoroughly enjoyed it, and was quite possibly one of the best meals we have had out in Vietnam. It was brilliantly priced, the owners are absolutely lovely and we watched our food get prepared whilst having friendly time with the dog! Food was delicious and extremely tasty, well cooked! Could not fault the service or food. Would definitely recommend to anyone vegan / non vegan as you would not be...

The food was great, I especially liked the vegetarian bun rieu, which seemed like a very good deal for 50k. The tofu with tamarind was less tasty, but I think I’m just not a fan of Tamarind. Overall has a good list of vegan options, and clearly lists ingredients. Has a lot of dishes with vegetarian meats (like vegetarian squid, pork, etc..) but know that they are made of mushroom so not a good replacement for meat in terms of protein etc.. (for that we can stick to our good...
