Me and my husband had dinner in this restaurant on oct 23rd 2024. Although the shop may be famous , the service was terrify. There's a man who looked like a manager. He took our order, he acted like so busy and annoying , but actually he is not busy. All other tables were already served with their meals and we were the last one at the time. So, there's no need to be busy, but he looked like annoying taking our orders. Aftet the bill, he didn't give the money right into our hands. He didn't looked into our eyes, just neglecting our eyes and put the cash on the table. Me and my husband are not talking each other. I was looking at him to get my cash back. But he neglected me and put the cash on the table. I felt it was rude. His face was terrifying. He looked like he didn't want to serve us. The shop gave the fruit dessert after large meal for every customers. But he didn't give us. So,i asked for it not beacuse I want to eat(because i was full, i already ate two plates),but because i dont like the manner he acted upon us. We are the rich tourist (not the poor tourist who travel the world on low budget). We are there at the SAPA and Vietnam to give them tourism income. We may be young , but not that little poor guys. But we felt like he treated the way like we were young, not affordable to buy their meals,so he didn't want to serve us.

Hey guy, if u see our review, behave your manners. Give the cash right direct into the hands. Also serve all customers equally. Vietnam is a good place for cheap food, cheap places, cheap hotels. Everything is so cheap when compare to even other south east asian countries . So every tourist is coming to give u money. Don't be racism. Don't judge a book by...

Bland unseasoned food. A meal that will be remembered for being laughably terrible!

The potato soup had no actual potatoes in it and was essentially a paste of powdered mashed potatoes with lots of water. No salt or any other seasoning. The vegetable soup was an unnaturally green watery purée with no identifiable vegetable flavor, no vegetables and no seasoning at all, not even salt.

Mixed sautéed vegetables were actual vegetables, but again had no seasonings at all, just sautéed vegetables in their juice. The sauteed green vegetables with garlic showed morning glory in the photo, but was just bok choy with a chopped garlic clove. Again no seasonings or flavor beyond that of the cabbage.

Braised eggplant with tofu, was a single diced eggplant overcooked with chunks of tofu in a yellowish brown broth that had a very slight curry flavor. We had to ask for soy and fish sauce as there was none at the table and all the food was so horrible, they brought a tiny amount of each in little bowls. It was not enough to save this disaster!

On the positive side, the beer was good and so was the Fanta: the “cook” did not touch these and thus could not ruin them. To top it all off it all cost twice what the same dishes cost up the hill on the little street past the park on the way...

Ordered bun cha, oven-baked bbq chicken with honey + fresh spring rolls, along with a ‘Vietnam’ milkshake and hot drink.

Before ordering, we had made it explicitly clear that my girlfriend was allergic to peanuts. We even translated it to Vietnamese in case they did not understand us and played the translation out loud. Regardless, we were served fresh spring rolls which contained peanuts which my girlfriend had taken a bite out of. She had immediately recognised this. Would’ve been a nice dining experience had she not spent a portion of our dinner vomiting in the bathroom. The server who took our order simply blamed the chef for not understanding his message about the peanut allergy. As such, we asked the dish to be cancelled as we could not eat it.

Having been in Vietnam for a while, we know just how much peanuts are involved in Vietnamese cooking, we understand it is widely used, hence why we are still so careful. It was her first time being exposed to peanuts in our entire time.

At the end, we were given a bill which still contained the peanut-containing spring rolls. The oversight really hurts which is a shame as I know the servers are lovely people, they should just be more cautious for...

This little place at the entrance of the Sapa town is amazing. Ordered the hot pot here. The soup base is with tomato and pineapple. It's a different kind of taste compare to where we came from mainly spicy. It's sweet and sour broth. Over here the hot pot is enjoyed with soy sauce. We had mixed meat of chicken and pork to accompany this meal. A whole lot of vegetables fresh from the farm (cos I do saw a lot vegetables plot beside all the sapa area) With the cool weather what is not to have a hearty hot meal to warm the body. This is certainly a must try for anyone that visit Sapa Town. I enjoy how the place is decorated with Vietnamese features deco and the usage of led lights as the base of their lighting creating a cozy warm dining experience. Do order some coffee to go with your meal, guess I enjoy their coffee a lot or maybe because it's the cold weather. I guess the dish selection would not go wrong with hot pot as there are many restaurants there, however I really enjoyed the selection serve here. Gonna make a mental note to come back here in the future.

It's usually a good sign if a restaurant is just as popular with domestic tourists as it is with overseas visitors. Little Vietnam seemed busy every night even during Covid19 times and clearly serving good food is the main reason for this since decor and atmosphere are not exactly focal points in this little hole in the wall place. And in line with all the other restaurants in Sapa it's rather pricey. We had the black pig meat on a sizzling platter with purple sticky rice in bamboo which was excellent, although not exactly a big portion for 200k VND. A little bit of a disappointment, not in terms of taste, but of expectations, was the stir fried mushrooms. Being in Sapa which is famous for its delicious forest mushrooms, I certainly didn't expect a plate of cabbage, carrots, morning glory and a few tiny enoki mushrooms when ordering a 60k mushroom dish, even if it was tasty. So by Sapa standards, Little Vietnam is a good choice, just don't expect good value here or anywhere else.

Drinks: Apple Cinnamon Tea, Ginger Tea, and Fresh Ginger Tea with Honey and Lemongrass Food: Bun Cha, Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp, Grilled Black Pork on Hot Plate with Sticky Rice in Bamboo Tube, and Green Papaya Salad Dessert: Banana Cake Ordered the aforementioned dishes @ Little Vietnam and they were promptly served. Really love the Bun Cha a lot because the fried pork in sauce was savoury, delicious, and packed with greens. The Grilled Black Pork on Hot Plate with Sticky Rice in Bamboo Tube was something new to us because we have never tried eaten it with glutinous rice that is dyed green but it was surprisingly tasty when paired together. When we were here the weather was pretty chilly @ 8 degree Celsius and the restaurant had two hot stoves to keep the temperature warm, allowing us to finish the food at ease. Would recommend anyone visiting Sapa anytime around the year. The place is cosy and warm, serving homely dishes.
