Nice idea, but fails the basics which ruins the experience. Firstly I was standing at the reception desk for 25 minutes listening to the beeping to let staff know I was there before someone actually came out and acknowledged me. By that point it was past the beginning of my actual session, let alone that I had arrived the recommended 15 mins earlier as a first timer. The website doesn't really mention that while everything is provided for the float you need swimmers for the sauna. I happened to bring them but would've been left in an awkward situation if I hadn't. Can't control the music or temp from inside the sauna. No water in the sauna room. Moved over to the float pod, again glad I brought swimmers bc no one mentioned the float is done nude and I preferred not to do that. No mats on the floor so wet and slippery. The face towel for if you get salt in your eyes falls into the salt water and renders it useless. Again no water so if you happen to get water in your mouth the only way to get rid of the awful taste it to get all the way out and shower. No timer. Then they have flimsy biodegradable cotton towels but no way to dry your hair other than a hair dryer which sort of defeats the purpose of saving electricity.
I could go on, but all in all the details weren't up to standard, especially for the price so won't be returning or...
Read moreI'd never tried it before and had wanted to for a while. From what some people say, it's like you astrally project or see visions when you try it. Haha! Nothing to that extent for me. It took a while to get the hang of it. I found floating with my arms up to the side of my head (which I called the "lobster" afterwards) had my head floating and my neck in the best position for me. But when I finally was able to make myself completely and totally relax it was like the best meditation of my life. It's like being asleep, recharging and letting go of all tension in the body, but you're awake. I could have fallen asleep if I wanted to, but I didn't want to "miss it" if that makes sense. When the float was over and it was time to leave, I felt really reinvigorated and calm. I was in a great mood and it felt like I was still sort of in that "recharging" mode for hours afterwards. I didn't have a "spiritual" experience, or "leave my body" - but what I can say is that a couple of times, I forgot I was there and forgot that I HAD a body. At least, not one that I could feel. Great for my back and hip pains. Brought my headache down to zero. Thoroughly enjoyable! I will be back to do it again sometime soon. And the...
Read moreI was introduced to the float space from a friend who gave me a gift voucher for my birthday and I will be back weekly as I LOVED it! The Float Space beats any day spa you will ever visit world wide!! The pods are state of the art, undoubtedly the most comfortable, spacious and relaxing I've ever come across. Other float centres don't offer anything like this. The experience starts from the moment you walk in the door and they look after you even after you leave with a follow up message to ensure you enjoyed your experience. The staff, facilities and Experience was AMAZING. I walked in with a migraine (stressed) and knee injury. I've also had skin issues from stress. I walked away migraine & pain free. Skin felt amazing. Inflammation of my knee has certainly gone down. Looking forward to my next visit next week. If you are serious about your health and well being adding floatation therapy to your weekly routine is a must as it has so many health benefits, but the most surprising one of mine was the amount of energy after walking out the door. Stop procrastinating and just do it! You will wish you had...
