I ate breakfast here, food and matcha were good but I feel super embarrassed after this ordeal. I tried to buy a kilo of the winter warmer beans, they said they arenât selling it, only the small bags. They had both bags on the display though, they said that I can buy 4 of the small bags which will make up a kilo. I really didnât mind, they just kept changing what theyâre saying. Then they went to check with their sales guy / manager. He made it a bit complicated and said I can buy the kilo of elevate beans and the small bag of the winter warmer. I just wanted a kilo of winter warmer beans in any way possible. I think he gave up trying to explain to me and sold me the initial kilo bag. I apologised for being confused. Then once I sat down the barista picked up all the kilo bags from the display and when she served my drink, she said it wasnât my fault. I apologised for being confused and said itâs okay. Oh well. I thought that would be the end of it. I started to eat and I looked up and the baristas were joking together, he was holding the kilo bag and pretending to put it back on the display. She made a face in response to him, they laughed. I felt so embarrassed, I just wanted to return the coffee and disappear. Really...
Read moreA chill location for a cuppa during the week. Both indoor and outdoor seating are a delight - you can see their in-house roastery working when seated indoors (but no loud machine/factory noises); you can watch life go by when seated outside. They also have a barista training studio connected next door, which seems very interesting. The food is a bit expensive for the quality - the bagel was very mediocre, banana bread was nice and filling, but the coffee is good. The staff are lovely and know what they're talking about with coffees. The soy cappuccino was delicious. The hot chocolate is made with a specific blend of Ratio chocolate and is very rich and delicious. They provide a roast/blend of the day card so you can read about which bean you're drinking from. The gingerbread iced latte sounded very delicious - cold brew, house made spiced treacle syrup and oat milk on ice, but it just tasted like sweetened oat milk. No spice, no cinnamon flavour, no gingerbread vibe, not even a hint of coffee? A bit upsetting. Overall, it's a lovely place, and perfect on an...

This is, without a doubt, one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. The espresso flavor hits your tongue and makes all your worries melt away. Veneziano's roast is truly exceptional. Whether you need your morning buzz or a mid-day pick-me-up, this is the place to be. Beyond the spectacular coffee, the staff was outrageously lovely and made the experience even better. Iâm almost considering a move to West End just so I can make a daily trip here. I'm an American who is moving to Brisbane from the Gold Coast, I can't wait to make this my regular spot. My bike will be parked outside more often than not. I'm already looking forward to my next visit for another incredible cup, a bag of beans for my home brew, and maybe a few treats for my friends. For coffee lovers and anyone who appreciates a fabulous cup of joe, Veneziano is the...
