I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I did not have a pleasant exchange with a Camargue staff member over the phone. Some months ago I came in wearing jeans from Artclub, a brand and style they stock. I asked to repurchase the exact pair in my size, an XS. The girl said they were in stock, in my size and ran to get them from their storeroom. We joked that Iād wear my current pair to death and then whip out the fresh pair when my old pair were looking a little worse for wear. Well, it got to that point a few weeks ago when I was getting ready for a lunch , only to slip the new pair of jeans on to find the girl had sold me a size S! To say I was disappointed and extremely frustrated was an understatement. They are far too big, if anything my XS is already looser than Iād like and they donāt make an XXS in this brand or style (we also discussed this in store). The staff member knew my size, I was definitely not between sizesā¦clearly an honest mistake had occurred on her behalf. I called the store the next day when they opened and was told that their returns policy is strictly adhered to and nothing could be done since the purchase was months ago. I was not asking for a refund, simply a store credit since she also mentioned my size was no longer in stock. I was calm and said thatās really disappointing to hear and left it at that. Anyway, I understand store policies are designed to protect the business from potential loss and stock management⦠but where are my protections or policies as a buyer when a staff member makes a mistake? I am now stuck with a pair of jeans in pristine condition, tags attached and receipt⦠what a waste of money. They were knowledgeable about their merchandise, and it was very apparent to me that they had a genuine interest in the brands they stocked, as well as a commitment to ensuring that customers felt comfortable.
