The Village Retirement Group — Local services in Brisbane City

The large green area that runs through the centre of North Lakes is not the place for VRG to build a retirement village and there are manifold reasons for this which I will not go into here! It should remain a green area as was promised to us when we bought our home in North Lakes via the Development Control Plan that was and still is still a legal document. Restrictions to many developments on this land include but ate not limited to a Seniors/ Retirement Village! Justin Harris knew of this DCP when he purchased this land but assumed he could negate this document and be backed by the former MBRC!! It is therefore unlawful for him to develop on this land. I just hope our present local MBRC has the gumption to overturn his Development Application on this land and suggests that he find other more suitable land to develop a seniors village on and sell the land he now owns in the centre of North Lakes to once again be developed as a...

Grubs don't poke the bear cooparoo had extensions done some 7 to 8 years ago you built that close the other building that special wall washer sprinklers had to be installed as they didn't meet code requirements and needed an engineered solution so the adjoing building wouldnt catch on fire if something terrible was to happen. You skirt around code requirements to the detriment of seniors. The rooms that you built, in most cases were no more than 3m x 3m. which included amenities. My wife and I were really impressed by the level of professionalism, transparency and thoughtful approach taken by The Village in Coorparoo. Dani was our host and took us through the Village complex with my in-laws who were considering their next move. We were very impressed - and although the timing didn't work out - we felt warmly welcomed, no pressure what so ever and left fully informed and confident that when our parents are ready - this is definitely an ideal place for them....
