I visited Market Morning with the expectation of indulging in some delicious hot pizza. Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be a complete disaster, leaving me utterly disappointed and frustrated.
To start, the most glaring issue was that the pizza I received was cold. The waitress stated there was no microwave or heating available. This blatant disregard for their own advertising left me feeling deceived and misled. If a place is going to boast about serving hot food, the least they can do is deliver on that promise.
As if the temperature weren't enough, the quality of the pizza was also shockingly poor. The crust and base was hard as nails, an outcome from leaving the pizza in the open on the shelf. A far cry from the crispy and flavourful crust I was anticipating. The topping lacked any real taste or appeal. It was evident that little care had gone into crafting a satisfying pizza.
Equally disappointing was the customer service. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the cold pizza, the waitress's response was lackluster and indifferent. They offered no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. It was as if they didn't value their customers' opinions or concerns.
What truly baffled me was the audacity of their pricing. I paid a premium for what was essentially a subpar, cold pizza ($10 per slice). This level of price gouging for such low-quality food is unacceptable and insulting to customers who expect value for their money.
In conclusion, my experience with Market Morning's Pizza was an absolute nightmare. The false advertising, coupled with the cold and tasteless pizza, as well as the apathetic customer service, has left a sour taste in my mouth. I strongly advise against anyone seeking a satisfying pizza experience to steer clear of Market Morning. It's a prime example of a place that prioritizes profits over quality and customer...
Read moreI haven't had a coffee here yet, so I can't give my opinion on that after reading the other reviews. However, I usually drink pourover at home anyway.
I'd been to Morning Market a few times before, I heard they had a great chicken sando. On my first visit, it was sold out, and so were the pastries.
When I returned and I saw the pastries, I recognised them instantly. They are some of the best in Melbourne. Morning Market also have an impressive selection of bakes and cakes, too, and their caneles look really good.
I think the shop is great, nice produce, good surroundings. The staff are friendly, and I've never had issues with waiting. I really value small independent grocers.
It also smells beautiful in there, with all the fresh flowers, bakes, and coffee all filling the air. My only criticism is I wished they were open earlier, I'm an early bird, and I'm always hankering for a croissant in the morning.
Thanks, mates. I'll be back time and time...
Read morePerfect setting for a lovely morning/brunch - lots of baked sweet and savory goodies, coffee, flowers, shop with products definitely worth exploring/trying, nice seating outside, however the poor service really doesn’t leave you feeling good to start the day here. The staff I encountered at the counter really couldn’t care less about my experience at the shop and was not helpful at all when I enquired about the baked goods. Not a smile, just a cold blank stare, didn’t acknowledge my question and rushed my order. The staff serving the coffee was good and actually cared about interaction with customers. It really left me feeling disappointed as I have been looking forward to going here for...
