5⭐for quality of food
1 ⭐for service, but 4⭐for staff always keeping a smile on. Staff were much nicer towards the end of our dining experience but the beginning was not so enjoyable.
🍞🍝🥩 Their famous flatbread, vodka pasta and rib eye steak were very excellent and enjoyable.
😢Some feedback for improvements:
They messed up the order and forgot to serve us the flatbread while other groups of customers who arrived after us had theirs served before ours. I highlighted to the staff to double check the kitchen as at that point after at least 15 mins, I was pretty certain ours were forgotten and she tried to make excuses saying that our flatbread will arrive together with our mains. It didn't make sense because I had my starters served already except the flatbread, and the other group of customers also got their flatbread and the same pasta we ordered sooner than ours. Then she claimed that it was because our dishes would also be served with our steak, although another waiter told us that they would serve everything first because our steak will take time and would come last. So they mismanaged our expectations and messed up their communications internally and our order, making us wait about 30 mins to get a flatbread. At that point I feel like it would have just been good to focus on resolving the situation without attempting to make up other reasons. Hostess with short dark hair and wore all black wasn't very friendly to deal with, she was inflexible and probably wasn't having a good day. She did not want to give us the table right by the window claiming that it was reserved, but we saw another hostess sit another group of casually walk-in customers. My partner also overheard the customer saying they didn’t have a booking 🤷♀️ It will be good to update your menu to specify that the $115 rib eye steak was going to be served with a side of shoestring fries because the portion of fries were HUGE and impossible to finish. The fries weren’t really fresh too coz a bunch of them were constantly stuck together. If we had known that they were included, we might have asked to not have them or have them replaced with a side of salad or some extra flatbread given the price of that was $6 and fries were $10.
I want to emphasise that the steak was perfect nonetheless but the crazy generous fries portion were not necessary, but maybe a bigger group would have enjoyed them more. We were probably not their...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to come Marion Wine Bar for the longest time, and it didn’t disappoint! I LOVED this restaurant so much I came 2 times in a month and I actually wouldn’t mind going again soon. The food, the service, the vibes are all 10/10!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
🦪 ½ dozen Sydney rock oysters $36 🥯 Flat bread, fromage blanc $6 (x2) 🐙 WA Octopus on toast, tomatoes, chilli oil $9 each 🐟 Raw Tuna, picked celery $26 🥓 Proscuitto, persimmon $16 🥒 Mussels, cucumbers, nduja, fried bread & aioli $24 🍝 Baked pipe rigate, vodka sauce $32 🥩 600g O’Connor Rib-eye, condiments $115 🍟 Fries $10 🥗 House salad, sherry dressing $10 🎂 EXTRA: Celebration Cake
For starters, the Flatbread is a must-order, we probably could have had one each but we wanted to save room for other dishes. Also loved the Octopus on toast, they were such a flavourful bite. For the Mussels and Tuna we had 1.5 servings as suggested by our waiter since there was 5 of us. I loved the mussels dish, it’s seems like such a random combo but the freshness of the cucumbers paired with the zesty vinaigrette dressing, worked well with the crunchy fried bread & aioli. We ended starters on a high and were eagerly awaiting the mains.
For mains we ordered the Baked Vodka Pasta, this was such a generous portion, and it was very saucy and not too spicy (which I liked!) The Rib-eye steak was cooked to PERFECTION and even better than steaks I’ve had at steak restaurants, and the fries were perfectly crispy.
As we were celebrating my birthday that night, my friends surprised me with a Celebration Cake. If you are celebrating a birthday, book through their website because you have an option to add on the cake, 100% DO IT!! IT’S ONE OF THE BEST CAKES WE’VE EVER HAD!!! The description online says, “our signature Celebration Cake is a decadent chocolate mousse cake with a crisp hazelnut base, milk chocolate glaze and gold leaf.” 😍
⭐️ 10/10 💰 approx $70 on food (extra for drinks)

REVIEW: What a solid line up of dishes! Entrees were a fantastic gateway to the mains. All refreshing, delicious and of quality. The prized flat bread was as great as we imagined - airy, and brushed generously with garlic for that fragrant smell. Definitely a must order.
The mafalde was a great vegetarian meal, even though it was a bit too hot to eat on a summer day. Roast chicken was incredibly juicy (would highly suggest this!) and the rump cap had a great crisp on the outer edges while retaining the earthy chewy texture in the middle. Extremely well cooked.
Finishing off with vanilla pannacotta in the hopes it would cool us down. With a generous sprinkling of vanilla bean and the crunchy almonds against the sweetness of the strawberries - it was a refreshing way to finish off our meal.
Service was great and although we were sitting outside, the waitress made sure to continuously ensure we had iced water. That iced water was a life saver! For a 5, I would want to see the time between entrees and mains reduced, and the plates outside are wiped before service. With the plates being outside, it gets a bit dusty if the table setting is...
