Hot Dog Hustle Footscray — Restaurant in Melbourne

so i usually don’t take the time to write these. but i wanna take the time to talk about my experience today. so me and my partner went here for lunch and right off the bat the greetings we received were lovely and we’d already been here before so as always the food was amazing. thats not what i wanna acknowledge today though. me and my partner got served by a man who was the sweetest person, when we were looking at the menu he asked if we wanted a closer look. so i wear glasses and menus on screens do hurt my eyes same with my partner so i thought that was sweet thing to ask. secondly, i’m allergic to onions so i got them removed off my hotdog while my partner didn’t cause he loves them, but the man serving us was triple checking to make sure our order was right because of my allergy and stuff which i thought was really nice. thirdly when the food was brought out to us he was super polite putting the correct order in front of each of us. we noticed we didn’t get hustle mayo which we both love so i gave my partner 2 bucks to go up and pay for it but he ended up giving it to us for free saying he was feeling really nice today. this man made our experience so enjoyable with his kindness and his energy, he was very happy and excited which made me and my partner very comfortable. the point i’m getting to is this mans customer service was amazing and i work in customer service so i know good customer service when i see it and me and my partner will definitely be back again so i can thank this man for making our experience worth while. i know this is a long review but my experience was so enjoyable and i wanted this mans kindness to be recognised since he made our day. management if you’re reading this you have some great workers on your team. overall recommend this place as the food and staff never...

First time trying these authentic Asian flavours with famed LA street style dogs and definitely won’t be the last!

Such a convenient location too, right opposite the train station and they have other stores around Melbourne too in Chadstone and Braybrook.

My favourite would be the floss like a boss, anything with sweet pork floss I’m sold. The Ebi prawn was equally nice with the refreshing slaw. And I love their brioche hot dog bun, so nice and soft and it wasn’t soggy with all the loaded fillings on top which was surprising. The furi was a bit too spicy to my liking but if you like spice, it has your name on it. Their sides were yummy too, fries and onion rings were nice and crunchy.

Absolutely love the concept of Hot Dog Hustle, combining Asian fusion flavours with American hotdogs.

The place itself is small with not much seating, so it may be better as a takeaway option. Staff are friendly and the place is clean.

My favourite hotdog had to be the Furi. I loved the spicy kick from the chilli flakes and jalapenos - it was definitely very different to any other hotdog I've had before.

The bulgogi cheesesteak was so delicious too. The bulgogi was so flavourful and loaded on top.

I only wish the actual sausages were cooked differently, it tastes kind of boiled. If it was grilled or fried, I think that would have improved the texture of the sausage. Overall, the unique toppings and soft brioche buns made these hot dogs absolutely delicious.
