This was easily the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had

I’m usually not the type of person to give very low reviews like this but I feel like I’m obliged to do so here! I’m a local Bentleigh resident so I like supporting local restaurants and trying all of them. Tonight after a long day at work I decided to give this place a shot. I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork with Fried Rice. I didn’t know it was possible to mess up such an easy classic take away dish to this extent! The pork pieces were about 10% pork fried in a giant dough ball and sweet and sour sauce is usually tossed with the fried pork but they served it separately which didn’t make any sense. The worst thing about this was the fried rice. All I could taste was “burned wok” that literally all I could taste. It tasted like a burned wok! My mouth had such a bad taste in it after this meal I had to go to the shop next door to buy some fresh juice to change the taste in my mouth. The meal was unbelievably bad overall…

I do feel bad for leaving this review but I didn’t even expect much. I only excepted something edible which I didn’t get…

I do have to say the owners seem nice and friendly but unfortunately the food was so bad and that’s what I’m basing...

I ordered from deliveroo today and since i cannot put any notes on my order i called them instead. The first phone call, the lady answered and i told her my dietary requirements but the lady can’t barely speak english and understand my language. I said i ordered from deliveroo like 5 times and she still confused and it drove me crazy. After that i asked the lady to hand over the phone to someone that can speak and understand english clearly, and SHE HAS THE AUDACITY TO HANG UP MY CALL just like that. I rarely give a poor review on this site but my meal from here was disappointing. My Seafood Mie Goreng arrived hot, which was excellent. There was a small amount of seafood, probably appropriate for the price charged. The portion size was good. However, the meal was made with a sickly sweet sauce that overwhelmed and spoiled the entire dish. I managed to eat about half the serve then binned the rest - no interest in saving...
