Australia Post - Blacktown Westpoint Post Shop — Local services in Sydney

Monday 12/5/25 at 9:30am I attended Blacktown Westpoint Post Shop to lodge passport application or make an appointment for that if needed, since it is no longer possible to make an online appointment for the lodgement . I asked the cashier if I needed to make an appointment and the cashier kindly checked my documents and since I had all required documents he kindly proceeded with the lodgement of my application, also since the photo that I already had was not meeting the required qualities I had to retake the photo on the spot too. At this point a middle aged Caucasian lady with blond hair who I believe was in charge, stepped in and with the rudest attitude she started to tell the cashier “ They can’t just walk in, they have to make an appointment- as if I wasn’t there!!! I tried to explain “ yes I tried to make an appointment online or over the phone but…”., she cut me there, yelled at me said “ I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU” also continued with the same attitude repeating that “They can’t just walk in”. This was while there was no other customers in the post office and once she was done yelling at us she started to put trolleys away since she had nothing else to do. Her attitude not only embarrassed the lovely gentleman who was serving us but also made me so frustrated and quite shaky. I asked for her name but everyone was too hesitant to provide her name. I am extremely disappointed with her service. During the time I was there I was watching her closely and I witnessed that she was serving everyone except Caucasians quite rudely. I visited the post office today and even though there was a long queue, I had a great experience. I asked at the counter to buy 10 packets of small parcel bags, and the Indian gentleman who assisted me was incredibly helpful. He asked how often I send parcels and then explained the benefits of signing up for a MyPost Business account. I had no idea about it before, but he took the time to explain everything clearly, and I ended up signing up on the spot.
