I am writing to report the poor customer service I received at the Dior Castlereagh Street store on December 12, 2023.
I was assisted by Maggie during my purchase of a Dior saddle bag. I asked to try on a pair of shoes, but they did not fit. When I asked for a smaller size, she said they did not have it in stock. I mentioned that I would go to the David Jones store and she said that she had checked and they only had one size, so I would not be able to compare. She said she could bring the shoes from David Jones for me to try on, but I would have to pay for them in advance.
When I visited the David Jones store, they had both sizes. The sales associate lied to me in order to get me to buy the shoes from her store.
A week later, I noticed that there was a paint chip on the stitching of the saddle bag. I sent a message to Maggie and she told me that I could bring the new bag in for them to look at, but that she no longer had the product in stock. When I asked about the availability in other stores, she said that it was sold out in all of Australia.
Once again, I was lied to by the sales associate, who made it difficult for me to exchange the bag and told me that it was sold out in all of Australia.
In summary, I visited the Dior store in The Rocks and they had the bag. They exchanged it for me and I was very well-served by Charlene.

Read moreI bought 2 beige patent leather lady dior handbags back in 2010. After 1 year of use, the color unexpectedly oxidised into yellow/orange. I thought that was the end of it and I lost all my money. Luckily I heard that Dior does free grooming on their bags purchased from any store world wide. So I took the 2 bags back and they sent them to Hong Kong to get them inspected, after a few days, they advised me that this is a fault that should not happen. So thankfully they reimbursed me for the bags and gave me a credit note. I’m really thankful for this and did not expect it. I highly Reccomended any one buying Dior as they have great understanding of bags that are at fault. Using the credit, I purchased 2 new bags and I couldn’t be any happier. If I didn’t know of this, I would have thrown the bags away or sold them at a really low cost. Thank you dior and thank you Yolanda for looking after me step by step of the way. Yolanda is the Dior ambassador of Australia. I met her at the store and she looked after me step by step in helping me find a new bag that I loved and even ordered one of the bags from overseas that they didn’t have in stock there.
The reason I gave 4 stars not 5 is that I noticed on a few occasions of visits that the Asian appearance ladies that work there were somewhat unprofessional, running up and down the stairs, with their clients. Paid $1600 or so and assured of the finest quality but the shoes stitching came away after about 5 days use which is disgraceful. I have been trying to get them to resolve the warranty issues but sent on a goose chase for a week now and still have the shoes in their box on my kitchen table with all their pathetic staff still wondering how to handle it. Absolute disgrace! My Nike Air Force ones are far better quality.
Further update as of today 19/2/22. Heard nothing from Dior since the review and flew from Gold Coast to Sydney carrying the shoes in original box so I could dump them back to Dior for refund or exchange as they don’t have any mens stores in Gold Coast or Brisbane. This is what gets even more disturbing as the attendant admitted the defect was clearly a manufacturing fault but could not issue a credit or refund as the shoes needed to be sent away to a Dior warehouse for further assessment and would take another 2 weeks for their verdict and confirmation of a credit note. For a so called and self proclaimed premium brand to supply a product that is so evidently a terrible and faulty product Is bad enough but to try and dismiss me with zero customer service pure arrogance is appalling. I would expect a supplier of $1650 sneakers that fell apart within 5 times of use and less than 90 days of ownership to be highly embarrassed and Appease their customers for their faulty items and inconvenience they have...
