Chicken was delicious, lots of flavour and cooked through. Chips were crunchy and flavourful as well, without being too salty. The portion sizes however, are WAY off. We went with a set menu of "2 chickens, large chips, large salad, sauce, flat bread, and 1.25L drink", and an extra "family size" chips. The chicken, as stated, was delicious. The chips, not enough. We were expecting MOUNTAINS of chips, and instead received what most restaurants/charcoal chicken places would call a large. Singular, large. Not a combined large and family size. Very disappointing. The salad was not what anyone would class as a large either, and for a tabouleh it was actually kale, not finely chopped parsley tomato and onion. Very loosely packed into the container, this was also not good value for money. The flatbread was a single slice cut into 4. The sauce, we chose gravy, was two small pots of gravy. Small as in as small as a flattened pingpong ball. Not enough for 2 chickens worth of meat at all. But, the chicken was tasty. so thats the main thing. Supporting acts need much...
Read moreI was in this restaurant during the week & heard so much about this cafe/ restaurant so I decided to give it a go. Chicken was scrumptious, salad's were of a great variety but my Greek Salad was a little dry & somewhat pricey. Looks as though they have a small clientele due to the closure of the pub, but what really ruined my experience was a little female worker who was loud & obnoxious screaming out order numbers...WHY is there not a machine with the numbers light up, instead of her loud voice as it is hard to have a conversation with her yelling out the order number.
I did feel sorry for a man who was trying to eat his lunch & she is standing over him persistently telling him to give her more money ..I felt for this customer as you could see he was angry & embarrassed.
I would highly recommend this cafe/ restaurant but not for this little worker there my staff & I will venture elsewhere or till they stop her from screaming out the meal numbers or her rudeness.
For this I will give Camy's...
