Booked ahead. $13 full day parking on Sunday. Worked for me.
Barangaroo Point Carpark is a Wilson Parking carpark. They used the same system as other Wilson carparks all around the city. If you have parked in other Wilson Parking before, this one provides exactly the same experience.
First, book on their website and pay with your solid card. Second, put your card in your wallet. Third, use the same card to tap in and out of the gate. Someone mentioned that their Apple Pay or Google Pay not working at the gate because their data doesn't work in some OTHER carparks. So, always use a solid card just in case. My phone worked totally fine on that day, so I am assuming telstra, optus, and vodafone networks were all working okay in this carpark on a normal day. I could be wrong.
The carpark itself is the kind of mini multi-level basement carpark with a small, clean, commercially decorated elevator. There are three levels, B3 top to B5 bottom, each with about 15 bays, and I was able to find two empty spots on B3 at a Sunday noon. Personally, I think the bays are pretty spacious. There are, however, some at the corner that require a bit of a brain to use.
The walking path to Darling Harbour from Hickson Rd is closed, and if you take that way, it will take you to Cutaway with some extra walking to the seaside walk without having to go up a ramp. You can use the Barangaroo Reserve Park behind the car park for the shortest route to Cutaway if you don't mind the slope. There are four elevators next to Cutaway for the stairs, according to my friends. Walking to The Crown Hotel takes about 7 minutes from the carpark and some very...
Read moreThe location is great however watch out for extra charges when you come out of the place if you book a bay. I booked a bay and sometimes the machines seem to not be working great when you come out of the place and with nobody around to help eg, security or a concierge, you put your card in to get out but they charge you extra to get out regardless of if you have booked and paid for a bay already. This has happened twice now in the last few months. Tried to get my money back both times, however no response from their email address even after following up so having to try and get through to them on the phone which is a pain. There are other car parks around there which have concierge so i would recommend the others, eg Secure has some which is actually cheaper and more processed with payments and...
Read moreWilson Parking at Barangaroo Point is fairly average overall. It provides ample parking space, and the location is great for accessing nearby areas, especially Barangaroo and the waterfront. However, the prices are on the higher side, which might not feel worth it for short stays. The signage could also be clearer, as it’s a bit tricky to navigate for first-timers. Staff are helpful, though the automated system can sometimes be confusing. Overall, it’s a convenient option, but not without a few minor frustrations. Just make sure you’re prepared...
