Went in for lunch and got the wagyu mate bento and the tempura prawn udon. Both dishes were quite nice. The wagyu was very tender and the marinade was perfect. The salmon was nice and fresh with no fishy smell. Unfortunately rice was a tad too mushy for my liking. The udon broth was very flavourful and tempura batter was light and crispy. Menu options were decent. Customer service was helpful and friendly. Food was presented nicely and came out in a timely manner. Have read quite a few reviews of the restaurant not being kid friendly (however, a couple came in with their toddler and there was no issue and the waitress seated them behind us). Maybe there’s no room for prams but as far as kid friendliness is concerned I didnt see an issue).

Good Japanese food, staff lacks a bit of friendliness. Fish and beef dishes were really tasty (sauce just slightly too sweet) and worth the price. Only minus is just the staff: First they didn't allow us to share the tea, meaning just giving one additional cup for my friend who already had water. She didn't even try to listen for understanding my question. Afterwards they rejected to charge our phone (when we asked for it) saying "we don't have charging here" which simply means they just don't want, because every restaurant for sure has electricity. Maybe friedliness is not needed at this place, as it's very busy .. So, to put it briefly, for the food I'd always return there, the service personell with pleasure could be different.

Please.. im just honest , I'm judging as i tried many Japanese places, and this place i can't even describe... First.. maybe location, that's why so pricy is not reasonable. If it's a fancy restaurant, then I'll understand that, but look.. wagyu tastes like red meat, n why would u put onion n capsicum? To kill the flavour and smells.. I would rather go back to my area (Bexley) to have proper wagyu lunch or dinner.. they will provide much, much better n reasonable price.. Benton box over $30..🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I understand why it was very quiet at the busiest time..at 1pm.. I ordered wagyu beef steak n wagyu teriyaki bowls.. Sorry, I don't make bad reviews, but it's not worth it..

I live a few minutes walk from the restaurant and used to go there quite often for convenience but will no longer go back. They are just not accommodating. I walked over with a newborn asleep in the pram and they did not let us in even though there were many seats available. They said the pram could cause accidents....I have never heard of such thing and everywhere I went people are always very helpful and accommodating. Even before this incident, they would refuse to replace the sashimi in their lunch boxes with a piece of cucumber, avocado or anything that was cooked because i couldnt eat the raw food while I was pregnant. Once I even called them to check if they were open till 9:00 or closing early and they told us it was ok if we were arriving in 10 minutes. But then they decided to close early even though we did arrive within 10 minutes,

But really, refusing prams and kids at the door for no reason and not having mentioned anywhere before on their website has made me decided to not go back to them anymore. There are plenty other good options...

JAPANESE WITH DISGRACEFUL SERVICE BE WARNED!!!! FOOD IS JUST PLAIN BELOW AVERAGE. UNLESS U HAVE NOT EATEN BETTER JAPANESE FOOD.

Iwent to this restaurant for a quick meal and was met with a rude waitress. I booked a table last minute and was told that I need to return the table in 1 hr. I agreed and proceeded to the restaurant. When we arrived, the waitress was so rude to be loud asking if we are sure we can finished in time. The table nearby was laughing. If I am the waitress I would be embarrassed and her behavior will affect the image of Japanese and the restaurant. I told her before I left that I have traveled the whole Japan but not once met with unJpanese disgraceful attitude. In addition, this is not fine dinning and does not required more than an hr to eat. The food is pretty below average in Japan standard or Japanese standard in Aus, the dishes can be easily replaced in Any Sydney Japanese restaurants. There is Sake...

Very rude service from manageress. Got told off for not ordering as much food as everyone else in the restaurant & only getting share plates instead of main meals each. It seems they felt they wasted a table on us. She got annoyed when one of our party was 10 mins late & rushed us into ordering despite having over an hour left on our booking. Then got annoyed with us that another person in our party hadn't shown up. She could have taken the 3rd table away to make another 2 seater but chose to leave it that way so she could carry on about it. We basically felt like we were in trouble the whole time! Highly inhospitable environment. We felt very unwelcomed & couldn't wait to leave. Food was very average & no where near good enough to warrant the amount of passive aggression we had to sit through. Needless to say, won't...
