Went to this bar during Calgary Stampede. They had a happy hour from 3-5with beer and drinks only $6. Was on patio and it looked like rain so told patio waitress ( little blonde girl) we would have our drinks inside( air conditioned too) and I paid her and tipped her. Took her 30mins to get drinks even after I reminded her twice. Excuses about drink ticket printer going down and more but she was serving others drinks on patio. Finally went to bar and stood there u til she served me. Never have I received such poor service - and after paying first and tipping. Not sure what the issue was - I’d hate to think it was a racially biased issue. Finally got an indoor waitress, Christie who was excellent. Personable, smiling and great service with updates about service issues. She saved the day and when the rest of our party ( 6 more people ) came she quickly and efficiently served us. There was only 1 bartender serving drinks for about 10 waitresses. Lots of wait staff and bussers. Clean toilets. Large venue with pics of Calgary Flames players on the walls and the Stanley cup champions banner on wall (1989-90). Didn’t eat there and I can’t rate the service because I had 2 very different experiences.

Second time I've been here... hopefully last. This is absolutely the perfect example of "captive audience" they know they are a convenient location before a show, so they don't care if the staff wander around aimlessly in a packed pub looking for which table the food is supposed to go... we were offered bruschetta and a burger within 3 minutes of each other because the staff couldn't find who it belonged to. They all look stressed out. None of the staff are having fun. I ordered the Bulgogi Bahn Mi- HUGE mistake. First of all, it is a panini. It was shredded beef without even a hint of bulgogi....and it was loaded with shredded cheese (cheddar) and shredded carrots. Do those even go together? No. The fries tasted like a plastic fork accidentally fell into the fryer, and no one noticed. Unfortunately, because of its location...I know I will likely be back....but I won't order food. Fooled me twice....shame on me.

There is a great variety of delicious options on the menu here. The prices are also reasonable. There is a lot of seating but I would recommend getting here an hour and a half before the Flames play so that you can get a seat and have the time to eat. It is actually the first food service area to open up prior to games, opening up 2 hours prior to puck drop. It would be great if they hired for service staff here as everyone wants to get in and out fast for the big game. It would also allow for even more friendly interactions between the staff and patrons.

My first visit here was incredibly underwhelming, if not outright frustrating. We came during Stampede and arrived during happy hour. I had just purchased a food and drink cup from the midway, and while I completely understood that I couldn’t bring it inside, I left it with the hostess at the front as instructed. (Important detail: remember this cup.)

I was with my baby in a stroller, yet despite that, we were seated outside—at the only patio table without an umbrella—in the rain. We immediately tried to get someone’s attention to move inside. There were about five employees standing at the hostess stand, all of whom blatantly ignored us. We sat there getting rained on for nearly 10 minutes until someone from inside finally noticed and offered to move us indoors. That server, to her credit, was the only pleasant and competent staff member we encountered.

As we were being moved, I glanced back toward the hostess station and noticed my cup was no longer visible. I assumed maybe they had put it somewhere safe to keep it dry. After we finished our visit, I went to retrieve it, only to be met with blank stares from a blonde woman in glasses and another staff member. They clearly saw I was looking for something. When I asked about my cup, the blonde woman responded—without a hint of apology—“Yaaaaa so that spilled everywheeeere.”

I was stunned. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Just an indifferent tone and a blank stare. I stood there in disbelief until the other staff member chimed in with a sarcastic and condescending “Yeah, sorry?”—if you can even call it that.

No one informed me when it happened, even though I was seated mere feet from the hostess station the entire time. They made zero effort to acknowledge the issue or offer any kind of compensation. Instead, they tried to avoid me and acted like I wouldn’t notice or care. And when confronted, they offered a weak, dismissive excuse for an apology and stared at me like I was the problem for being upset.

The customer service was shockingly bad. This entire experience soured what should have been an enjoyable outing. No one in my group was impressed, and I will not...

What an amazing atmosphere at Dutton's located in the Dome, this past Friday when a friend and myself stopped in for drinks and snacks., prior to the Miranda Lambert concert. It was awesome to see my all time favourite server, Melissa, who as always, made our experience a fun time. Have known Melissa for over 3 months when we met at a 60th birthday bash for a friend in mid April. Needless to say, am thrilled that she is employed by Calgary Sports & Entertainment because in my estimation, she is such an asset to this organization, in all aspects. Melissa is efficient, prompt, as well as bringing a ray of sunshine with her endearing personality by engaging in conversation with her customers and remembering not only their names, but what preferences they have for drinks, food, etc., Melissa definitely goes above and beyond the extra mile to ensure her clients receive the highest level of service and should be commended for excellent dedication to her profession. Sincere thanks dear Melissa from Bobby and myself and we will most certainly see you again very soon. Also, kudos to a lovely young girl, Mila, who was helping with food orders, etc. Fondest regards and have a wnderful day. ...
