I have to say the service here impressed me and continues to. I travelled in from London to deal with a property in Puslinch. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was prompt and helpful. I got there and Crystal on the 5th floor was so lovely. She was attentive, helpful and fun all at the same time. The building itself was gorgeous and spotless right from the washrooms to the mosaics restored on each floor. Brody and Aminu from zoning and planning were helpful, listened and gave me answers quickly or followed up with things after I left very quickly. All in all I came in not really knowing where to start and everyone worked together to get me answers and help me feel much more confident. Great job everyone. It was such a pleasure to deal with a City Hall this well organized. It was inspiring. They have a super cool 3d model on the 5th floor and this gorgeous piece of art on the main floor too!

Hamilton City Hall is located on 71 Main St. W. in Hamilton, Ontario. The City Hall is very well-maintained. It is situated in the centre of the city opposite McMaster University, the concert hall, art gallery and many other prominent institutions. Parking is available on the street as well as in the parking lot in the rear of the property for $3.25 an hour with a 15 day maximum. Free parking on Sundays and statutory holidays.

Hamilton roads are by far the worst I have ever driven on. Every major road severely needs paving. I’m surprised they expect anyone to safety their vehicle with the state of the roads as driving on them will damage your car.

Myself and my fiancé went into Hamilton City Hall in order to obtain a marriage license. My fiance contacted city hall prior to our visit to ensure we had the appropriate documents needed, not only did I contact city hall prior, I checked the Government of Ontario’s website to ensure I had the correct legal documentation. Lastly, I contacted Toronto City Hall as well and was told I had the appropriate documentation. We decided to go to hamilton city hall as we currently live in Hamilton. That clearly turned out to be wrong choice and I truly wish we went to Toronto City hall instead.

My fiancé and I filled out the paperwork. Our original clerk told us everything looked to be in order and went to go photocopy our documents, upon his return this angry bleached blonde woman, thin, raspy voice ( named Carissa? I believe ) followed him back and started yelling at us because I did not bring my birth certificate. She started berating us for this fact. Now, even if we needed my birth certificate, where on earth does this woman think she has the right to yell and put down a person who is simply filing for a marriage certificate? I digress. We told her REPEATEDLY we do NOT need a birth certificate and IT WAS CONFIRMED BY MULTIPLE OFFICIALS AS WELL AS THE GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO. This woman spends the next 25 minutes telling me “ she's 1000%” percent sure a birth certificate was needed. Then she goes to google if she was correct. Well after 25 minutes of trying to find information to back up her case AND HER FAILING TO DO SO, she then says she must call the governments of Ontario to make sure? Excuse me. She was ON the governments of Ontario’s website where it STATED WE HAD the correct documents and THUS didn't REQUIRE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Afterward, she could not get a hold of the Ontario office so she refused to give us our marriage license. Then she looks over our applications and starts asking me personal questions about my father and my last name. How’s that pertinent to the issue at hand?

We are humiliated and angry, all we wanted to do is get our marriage certificate and we made sure we had the correct documents and it was confirmed through multiple offices we diI am curious to what REALLY was this woman's issue with us? She made a happy moment in our life miserable. I am SO disappointed in City Hall that they would allow their clerks to treat citizens this way. After my terrible experience with Hamilton City Hall, I contacted the official from Toronto. I was informed ONCE AGAIN, that the documents I brought to Hamilton city hall was absolutely correct and they do not understand why the Hamilton clerk denied us. Overall terrible experience and I truly hope Hamilton City Hall considers who they have as employees in...

Have You Faced Unfair Treatment at Hamilton Superior Family Court?

Have you had your court filings rejected by the Hamilton Family Court Clerk for reasons that weren’t true?

Have you experienced over-scrutiny or discrimination when trying to file documents as a self-represented party?

Have you noticed the opposing lawyer being allowed to break rules—submitting forms with errors, unchecked boxes, or exceeding limits—while your filings were denied?

Have you felt like the clerk was creating obstacles around every turn, rather than helping ensure access to justice?

Have you suspected that a relationship or bias between the court clerk and the opposing lawyer may have influenced how your paperwork was handled?

Have you asked for help, clarification, or accommodations, only to be ignored or denied without explanation?

Have you felt like your voice was silenced at the most critical times, and your child’s well-being was not prioritized?

Have you experienced similar issues in other Ontario courts, like Brampton, where your case was dismissed or stricken based on misinformation or perjury—and no one addressed it?

If these questions resonate with you, you are not alone. It’s time we raise these concerns to the Ombudsman of Ontario and demand transparency and fairness in our courts.

Let’s support each other and protect our families.

only place that allows reviews Worst city to live in. Worst group of individuals to make decisions for the city and for so many reasons. *Construction, your commute to and from work will be delayed an extra +30m-1h due to these "adults" who collectively knocked their hollow heads together and agreed to turn every main road into a one lane road at the same time. While everytime i go to work, never seen a worker. *police, are useless here. Anything that's not worth value doesn't matter to them. Crime is at an all time high, and these overpaid fools are everywhere, but again never doing anything useful except moving homeless around. (getting to the homelessness later) *The street's themselves. signage is brutal, whoever designed hamilton throughout the past 100yrs were awful. One-ways that lead to one-ways that lead to dead ends, everywhere. Narrow lanes and street's, Pot holes, massive cracks, etc. !Unfinished! construction in the middle of main roads all over the city, signage that is dangerous and poorly placed Putting drivers in dangerous situations regularly. *Homelessness, I don't know the numbers. But I bet if you look at them they are at the absolute highest they have ever been. The homeless are in every part of the city and I don't blame any of them, police bully them around town when convenient (big events, and areas where these decision makers live).

Welcome to Hamilton! Politicians and council have done nothing about any of this for more than 20 years, it's only...
