Edit: The owner’s reply showcases what kind of store they are. Firstly, just because my name doesn’t match up in their system doesn’t mean I didn’t do udhiya with them. I choose not to put my real name online to avoid any unsafe situations. Secondly, my review is real and based on the exactly what I received. As the owner mentioned, my account only has 1 review and that is because I usually don’t leave reviews. However I was so disappointed with this udhiya from them that I had to leave a review to let others know to avoid this experience. The biggest concern however was that they were weighing the meat as if I was buying meat and not like it was an actual share of the animal. The owner is blatantly lying because I didn’t not get any steaks, or organ meat. I didn’t feel like this was an udhiya at all and it was more like I just bought meat from any other store. I’d expect if there are 7 shares, that I get my share of all the meats including steaks and organ meat. Moreover the shares in cows would vary, every single cow isn’t going to give you 60 pounds per share. This is my real review you can read under this edit, it is just my way it warning people about the udhiya experience. I mentioned al nejmah because my brother did his there and he had a very good experience. He got all the organ meats and different cuts. They didn’t give him any premade minced meat that was just fully of fat. Additionally he got way more than the estimated share they posted in their flyer which shows that al nejmah actually gives the share of the animal and doesn’t weigh just a set amount for everyone. I wouldn’t mind if my share was less or more as that would show a variation and that makes sense. However, they were fully weighing each share so that just shows me that they are giving everyone a set x amount and it’s just like buying meat and not actually buying a share of the animal. Again this is just my way of warning everyone, I am not here to force anyone to go with them or go with someone else. This is just my personal experience. I will never do udhiya with them again. If you have also experienced this, please leave a review so that the owner can see there was a genuine issue.
Will never do udhiya with them ever again. I booked a cow share this year with them and was very disappointed. Firstly the share was incomplete. They don’t take into regard that some parts have more fat and connective tissues and that results in some people getting meat full of just fat. They also didn’t give any liver or organ meat at all. I asked for liver however they told me that it doesn’t come with the udhiya. The ground beef they gave me as part of my share is a 50 - 50 fat to meat ratio and they didn’t even clean it before mincing . Even the ground beef bought from Costco is more lean. My friend booked at Al nejmah and they gave him liver as well as equal parts of all parts of the animal. They even gave him tongue, tail, and steaks, all of which I did not receive. Additionally they advertise on the flyer that the share is 60 to 65 pounds, however that doesn’t depend on how big your animal was, they just weight it as close as possible to 60 pounds and give you the share with there being the bare minimum of 60 pounds. I would expect there to not be set portions of 60 pounds but varying portions as animals don’t weigh the same and vary. I am very disappointed with this service and I will never book here again. If others also shared the same experience please...
Read moreVery disheartened customer! Horrible horrible horrible service, made fun of their customers who are non arab! DO NOT VISIT IF YOU ARE NOT ARAB. My husband visited the butcher corner yesterday, ofc he was not speaking arabic therefore he got into same basket as other ethnicities. Its sad how “Al Quds” forget that people in the surrounding area strive to support them. Looks like your team forgot their old days in Palestine? I hope one day you realise that people across the world are supporting your population. If its not for us around the world then imagine what would have happened? But No, upon arriving in Canada you started thinking you too much of a Canadian now? Attiude +++++ from the butcher? Why?? Disrespectful and absolutely upsetting. Same experience of what was related to me happened with people of somewhate similar ethnicities(i read the reviews to see) Whenever I visited I always felt off, because we do not speak arabic we speak french and english. They focus only on their Arab customers thats why the reviews are such. I have always visited for the nablus soap, bakhoor. Theres only one girl who is helpful there, always smiling and kind hearted she is also a cashier there. The rest wow! Maybe its a hidden kingdom and we dont know. Never setting foot again there. May Allah guide us all. Time to improve the butcher section and the whole way of customer...

If you read my original review for this supermarket, you'd see that I was quite fond giving this place my business. In fact, that is true for my own family and my in-laws. However, today I can say that has changed. My husband and I like to frequent their take-out section for one of our favourite dishes, known as koosa. Unfortunately, today when we purchased $45 worth of food, the koosa was off-colour and bitter in taste. This was the feedback from 4 people in my family, including myself. It was very embarrassing to be serving this to anyone. As a result, we took the remaining koosa back to the store for them to see what they sold. However, the woman at the take-out section was very rude to my husband and did not want to offer any type of compensation for the less than adequate food she sold to us.
This is very despicable behaviour, and we will be thinking twice about purchasing food from here. There are plenty of other Middle Eastern Grocers around. Therefore, as sad as it is, after so many years, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Sometimes people's pride can hurt a business.

My husband and I have been shopping here since we were kids with our mothers. Now we shop here together. It's a great place for quality Middle Eastern staples and Halal products. However, it's become a bit pricey, without factoring...
