Not recommended for groups - read on for why.
We were a group of 14 people and due to the size, we all had to take the group menu. Normally this is completely normal, but there was 0 choice in the menu and dishes were shared between groups of 4 - this wouldn't be an issue if these were big plates, but they all had measly amounts of food, including one that were only 4 small pieces of fish. Everyone in the group I asked was still hungry after the 2 hour meal. Certain dishes were also skipped for certain sections of the table for some reason, but still charged.
To make things worse, I requested to order from the normal menu to actually have something decent to eat, but the server refused saying it would be too complicated - I even suggested just charging me a separate bill, as if I was alone, and still no go. I would have easily spent $100 or more to satisfy our hunger, but I guess the restaurant had higher priorities.
For some reason, the entire cocktail menu was also unavailable - was this also because it would be "too complicated"?
The last kicker? Not enough chopsticks as well.
Whatever the case may be, I DO NOT recommend Biiru for groups, go alone or with one other person - at least then you'll have access to their...
Read moreWent there because the company reserved the place for us, we were allowed to have a cocktail each and some fixed menu dishes to share per 3 people.
Waiter told us cocktail is not allowed, despite I had confirmation that the cocktail was included. Finally when we paid, the waiter finally agreed that cocktail is in fact included.
The food were meant to share for each 3 people, so you would expect 12 people to get 4 plates to share, 12 / 3 = 4, simple math really, but they decided to give us 3 plates instead, so we were all starving, the portion was as if it was extracted it using a pipette. I was immersed into the role of a 3rd world country man. To add on top of that they skipped us for some of the dishes that were on the fixed menu and they charged an insane amount for lying to us, denying us cocktails, and not giving us the portion that were agreed on.
After eating there, I must say, EA and its micro-transaction Battlefront 2 is good value compared to eating here, or if you don't play games, I would rather spend those few hundred $ to watch Dragon Ball Evolution over and over again.
Food tasted alright, but it is far from authentic Japanese food. Service was slow. Portion was...
Read moreour time there wasn’t long but it was great. my friend and I quickly stopped to grab a drink and eat something before going to show. we didn’t make a reservation (which I recommend!!) and as I got there, they didn’t have any place left (even tho it had only been opened for 30minutes. luckily, the waitress got a cancellation as I was about to walk out, she sat my friend and I by the bar.
we were right by the entrance, but that wasn’t a problem at all. the place is small but the atmosphere makes it feel comfortable and not too crowded (even though it was). my friend got her food 10 minutes before me, which was kind of a bummer because she was almost done by the time I got mine (it was a plate of dumplings). we weren’t in a rush, we were having a great time, and I guess most people share their food, so maybe that’s why we didn’t everything all at once.
the two dishes that we ordered were delicious. we also got some sake, recommended by the barmaid, which turned out to be a really good choice. it wasn’t too expensive as we didn’t eat much, but I’m sure that the menu is...
