To preface this review, I went at a non-busy time in a group of 2. We had many issues with the service and food: 1. Ordered a rare beef pho and a rare beef & well done beef pho. Received a well done beef pho and a rare beef & well done beef pho. 2. They served the pho lukewarm! The rare meat didn't cook in the slightest!!!!!!! After asking to reheat the pho, they returned it THE SAME TEMPERATURE. 3. I requested fresh chilis from the staff 3 times throughout the meal and never received any. 4. Very minimal sauce included. They give tiny portions of sriracha/hoisin so you have to keep asking. It would be way better to have the bottles at the table like other authentic Vietnamese establishments. 5. Personal opinion - the pho broth was too sweet, missing some acidity. 6. Don't sit anywhere near the door in cold weather, they leave the outer door open sometimes so when the inner door is opened you'll be frozen. On the bright side, they have friendly staff and a great atmosphere (upstairs is super cool too).

I’ve been here 3 times over the last month. The food is authentic and delicious! Hits the spot and satisfied my cravings for something warm and soupy. Just go for the special Pho. I highly recommend it. It comes with a variety and different styles of beef. Every ingredient is fresh and taste high quality. Their beef balls are definitely not frozen and you can see and taste it’s made in-house. I also ordered their imperial rolls which are made with minced pork and mushrooms and then deep fried to perfection. Gobbled them up before I could take pictures. Their Banh Mi is pretty good. I had the pork version and the grilled pork is tasty but not overly greasy. The bread however could have been better, perhaps a little more toasted. Still good nevertheless. I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants throughout Montréal and most are just ok. If you are looking for a nice Vietnamese restaurant with amazing sincere service, then just come here. You won’t regret it.

We checked this place out before going to the HABS-LEAFS game and we all were so so happy we did!! First of all, we are picky eaters when talking about Vietnamese foods, as we can cook well and we know well what authentic northen Vietnamese foods mean. This place meets our high expectation, one of us even said "Tô phở ngon chuẩn vị nhất từng ăn ở Ca!" (The most delicious and authentic Pho I've ever eaten in Canada!") Kudo to the Chef! Second - great great location and views! Right in the middle of the busy downtown shopping St. Catherine Str., with a stunning view over the square from the 2nd floor window. Million dollar view no doubt!! Third - the restaurant decor was super cool, a lots of adorable corners to check in. We loved every details of the decoration, very impressive!! And last but not least - excellent services. I hope there are more stars to give to Pho Ly Quoc Su, should be the best 5 star review I have given so far. Thank you!

Honestly the best pho i've ever had and one of the best meals I've ever had. The broth was so delicious and the veggies were fresh and crunchy which I love.

Me and my friend have tried the following: Vegetarian imperial rolls (please note it comes with 2, not 3 like said in the description): absolutely delicious fresh, comes with a delicious sauce

Vegetarian Pho: my friend said it was delicious! She loved the fried tofu.

Well done beef Pho: broth was crazy good, the beef was delicious and tender (but the meat was very fatty, which might be the norm for this dish but i personally don't like fatty meat)

Grilled chicken Pho: same delicious broth, the chicken was amazing and the veggies were fresh. This dish was so amazing and I will be coming back many times for it!

The only downside was the service. We were only about 4 people in the restaurant and yet the waiter took forever to get us the bill and never came to check up on us. It could've been better but the food it so worth it that it doesn't matter. The food came out quick aswell!

All in all, I will be returning very often - this might be one of my favourite...

Glad to find a decent Vietnamese restaurant downtown.

My pho with rare beef was served with cooked beef. I wonder if there was a lack of synchronization between front and back of house. If it sits too long in the pass, the the thinly sliced beef cooks.

The service was ok , but definitely needs work. As a lone diner, I do not need 2 waiters watching me eat, whether they were looking at me or behind me, they needed to be more discreet. And where were they when I was trying to get my bill to pay and leave?

I am of average height, the booth side of the table is too high so one has to bend a little too much over to eat. The other diners around me were in the same predicament.

The spa-like covers of popular songs was a bit loud with only 6 people in the restaurant and also set a weird atmosphere: is it a spa or a vibrant new restaurant?

Also, English-speaking staff only? That’s why I’m writing my review in English to make sure my review is understood.

With these small adjustments, things...
