Cedars — Restaurant in Ontario

Cedars is kind of a hidden gem inside the mall. The mall itself can be a ghost town at times but there is always a line at Cedars! I love their chicken shawarma - garlic sauce, tahini sauce and not spicy. They have pickled radish and tabbouleh - which you don’t get everywhere in cornwall. I used to live in Toronto and ate many a late night shawarma after a long night of dancing at Velvet Underground, or just wandering around the downtown core. So I have a lot of fond memories of shwarma. I will say hands down the best place in town. Service is always great. This is one of the only places I eat in Cornwall and the place I go to whenever I am in town. By far the best place in the mall. I just love the chicken fatoush salad. The staff are always friendly and Asmaa and Jamal are just such great owners who put every iota of pride into their work and food. Never a disappointing experience and I have probably eaten here about 100 times in the past few years including during Covid times when they maintained a delivery service because their food is in SUCH demand. This eatery has the best shwarma's I have ever eaten. There secret to the awesome taste is their amazing garlic spread. It is sooo very good. They also have a wonderful selection of toppings. All very good. We live in Sarnia, Ontario and have tried shwarma's at a multitude of different eateries but nothing even comes close to Cedars.
