If we could give it zero stars, I would. Today we were not given what we paid for as we witnessed them cutting corners to save money. We took my daughter to get milkshakes for her birthday. It was her special day, so we paid extra for milkshakes made with their flavoured (premium) hard ice cream instead of cheaper soft served (which is half the price). We’ve had it a few times before, and they always used only hard ice cream and a little milk to make this milkshake. However, this time, they filled the cups with mostly soft serve, lots of milk, and the smallest scoop of hard ice cream. It was disgusting. We essentially paid twice as much for soft serve because we couldn’t even taste the flavoured hard ice cream we asked for, and the milk they added just watered down the soft serve, making it liquid like it had already melted. My daughter was so disappointed because it was her bday, and she knew what it was supposed to taste like, but she couldn’t even eat this milk-filled soft serve because it was so gross. My partner tried telling them this is not how we’ve had this before, and they argued with us that this is how they do it, which we feel is a lie based on our past experiences. He had already paid at this point, and trying to tell them that they were doing it wrong was making a scene, so they took it and left, but after paying $17 for three milk-diluted soft-serve milkshakes, we will never get milkshakes...
Read moreLoved this place since I was a kid and they just keep making it even better as it ages gracefully with time.
They have the original play structure still located in the rear with the pond that is always filled with wildlife. They have added riding structures which the kids absolutely love. The pathway around the pond is a joy for my child each visit.
The new renovations inside bring back beautiful memories with all the dated photos of how reids dairy became what it is now. Being Belleville born and raised, these little touches make reids dairy feel like a home.
Now, the ice cream and products themselves..... The cream is so smooth and tasteful making each ice cream they make immensely flavourful. The soft serve is perfect 👌. And don't even get me on my rant about the strawberry milkshakes.... I called every day for a week when they ran out once!
Then there's the customer service; the women here make each visit feel warm and comforting. They remember faces and interact with customers like friends. They handle conflict (I know right... getting ice cream people get mad? Oddly they do lol) with grace and dignity. Honestly can say the owner has chosen very wisely the people he has running his business because I adore them all!
Thank you for keeping the Mooooo Cow and Train Track as now my daughter is making memories I once made as a little girl. Thank you for being a staple within...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for quite some time, and I can confidently say the products are top-notch — always fresh, high quality, and well worth the price. The staff are consistently courteous, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience, no matter the day.
That said, I’m giving this review 1 star in hopes of drawing urgent attention to an issue that has become increasingly disruptive. Over my last several visits, the store environment has felt more like a playground than a retail space. During March Break, the noise and chaos from unsupervised children made it nearly impossible to communicate with staff. The cashier was extremely apologetic, though it was clearly not her fault. Sadly, this wasn’t a one-off. Nearly every visit now includes children running, yelling, bumping into customers, and even using inappropriate language toward staff.
This is not only uncomfortable for paying customers but also unfair to the hardworking employees trying to maintain professionalism in a disorderly environment.
I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements clear guidelines to ensure a more respectful and enjoyable experience for everyone. I’d love to continue supporting this business, but the atmosphere needs to be...
