What a shame. My son and I always stock up on a bag of 150 or 100 from Lindt at this time of the year. This was our first time visiting the Oshawa Centre location (Black Friday between 8-9pm) and the young lady was rude (blond, hair tied up with a Christmas hairband or something), and curt (she was not busy by the way-we were the only ones in the store aside from one other person) and she managed to take the joy away from buying our favourite chocolates. She told us to fill our bag up to the white line-I did (without making eye cobtact-just a demand made upon us). Then-at the cash register-she proceeded to roughly grab a bunch of chocolates out of the bag with her grubby hands-basically squishing the chocolates and then said-sarcastically-"I usually tell the customers to put their favourites at the bottom" along with other rude comments-all the while-not eye contact...what a horrible experience. What a horrible human being. She was angry, aggressive with the bag-doing all of this in front of my son...
This is not our first time-its our annual tradition.
She removed way too many chocolates, I was not about to make an already uncomfortable situation worse for my son and I but perhaps management should have a word with her and I frankly want the favourites we placed on the top, back. đ
She later stalked me on Facebook. Clearly an unstable human and not representative of the Lindt brand. Oshawa-your manager needs to ensure that ALL customers are treated the same, treated with grace and kindness or-at the least-not like this young "lady" treated my son and...
Read moreWe bought $230 worth of the Mozart Milk Chocolates and were denied a FREE box of the CHEAPER chocolates.
Since we were buying such a large quantity of chocolate to take back to the US as gifts we asked for one of the big boxes. We were told those were âseasonalâ boxes and intended for the regular, round Lindt chocolates. We had already started to pack the box and were informed by the clerk that we werenât allowed to use the box. We were forced to empty the box and use two of the plastic bags instead.
When we were at the cash, we asked again if we could purchase the seasonal box to protect our purchase during travel and was informed by the same clerk that we couldnât even PURCHASE the FREE box available to customers who bought the CHEAPER, round chocolates. The clerk neglected to ask if we had a Loyalty membership - we had to mention this ourselves.
Even after all of this: considering the amount money spent in the store and the fact that we were returning customers with a membership, the clerk still refused to give us a box. This is truly inflexible customer service and doesnât deliver the value and client treatment expected by the Lindt brand. We will be seeking alternatives to Lindt and will be sharing this experience with our...
Read moreHappen to visit Oshawa Mall store today, bought 20 truffles for $20. I was not aware of the promotion that I could get over 100 truffles for $30. Thanks to my wife who advised me to call the store, I called the store. Staff seemed not very helpful (kept on saying we don't take returns),spoke to the manager, I was advised to come back to the store and get a top up. Hence I got 100 truffles for $33. (good deal), I spent over an hour to resolve this issue. Lessons learnt, ask for the promotion first, and not wait for the staff to tell you. I should have been advised by the cashier that I could get the promotion. I will not go to the...
