Bloor West... what else can be said? DARN good street. Why, you can walk on it, roll on it, drive on it... even cycle.

It's got those dedicated bike lanes which are fantastic for folks living in the city with no car (no where to park it, and let's be honest, biking is faster if you're trying to get around the downtown core).

...so WHY do ALL THESE MAYORAL CANDIDATES want to get rid of the bike lanes!?!

Anyhow, Bloor St., like the Queensway, is a fantastic option for driving in and out of the city. Not as fast as the QEW, Lakeshore, and 401 CAN be, sure.

But at the same time, you don't have psycho drivers swerving in front of trucks to get them to stop ON THE HIGHWAY, get OUT of their car, and try to fight the driver at their truck door!!!

My concern about the current state of the street. As someone who frequently travels on this road, I have noticed that there are extensive construction works taking place, which have caused significant disruptions to traffic flow and pedestrian access.

The congestion and noise caused by the construction have made it difficult for residents and visitors to navigate the area safely and efficiently. Additionally, the limited parking options have made it challenging for those who need to park...

Just don't go further east after visiting the ROM ... terrible architecture (a facelift of the first 2 floors doesn't help much ... see renovated manulife center) and an overall very unpleasent street for walks. No patios or even green spaces. A concrete and glass nightmare. Mostly luxury stores catering rich Chinese clients and some chains you can find everywhere in suburban malls (winners, h&m etc.) No real restaurants.
