The experience I had with the condo management at 50 Charles was frustrating and disappointing. I was called in by a client to troubleshoot random heating stoppages in a unit. After spending several hours investigating, I discovered that the fan oil unit's main control board had failed due to a clogged dust filter, and the tenant had been trying to keep the heat at an excessively high temperature. To help prevent similar issues in other units, my client asked me to create informative YouTube videos for the building owners.
However, when I approached the building manager, Gabriel, with my proposal, I was met with unnecessary hurdles. We booked a guest suite for our guest coming in for the weekend (check-in day: Saturday). The booking system first approved the reservation and then the system had problems with accepting the payment by credit card many days later for some unknown reason. So, a few days before the check-in day, we saw that the payment failed on Condo Control. We called and met up with the Casa 3 security/doorman to fix the payment issue. All he told us is you have to drop a cheque on Friday. So on Friday (today), I logged back in on Condo Control and now the unit is already RENTED OUT to another individual!!!??? Read moreVery poorly managed building. There is massive construction abandoned in the courtyard. The doors are paper thin. Management is unhelpful on almost any issue brought to them. There are cigarettes constantly thrown in the pool. Because the air system is so poorly done the gym gets way too hot, as in over 30 degrees, regularly, which may not be legal as gyms are required to maintain cool temperatures. There is massive turnover among the security staff. The management is generally acknowledged among residents to be a major problem. There is no working garbage chute which again I am fairly certain is illegal. Management is too cheap to pay to fix it so all garbage, organic or recycling gets thrown together and treated as garbage.
