Definitely worth trying, but with a few caveats.
I made the mistake of getting the "Black on Black" flavor during my first visit, which is described as "subtle coconut mixed with activated charcoal". Despite being the most visually appealing flavor, it's almost completely lacking in flavor. It taps into the "charcoal infused everything" fad that began during the mid 2010s and has stuck around for some reason.
During my second visit, however, I got the Pandan ice cream boba โ which isn't a typical bubble tea, but rather half of one of the soft serve flavors offered, half flavored milk, and boba โ and was very impressed. The flavor is distinct yet familiar, and not something you'll typically find elsewhere.
Where things become rather unpleasant is the price. $6 nets you a cup of ice cream that can be finished in 5-7 spoonfuls (the tiny spoons you typically get at a gelato place or Baskin Robbins). For an extra 0.50ยข you can get a cone. As for the ice cream boba, it costs $6.50, and there's only one size which is typically a small elsewhere which will cost less. Granted, the drink is more dense than a boba tea you'll get elsewhere.
By no means is this the worst value for money you'll ever experience, but it's certainly not the best. If the prices were reduced by $1.00-$2.00, or if the portion sizes were increased I would recommend going here above the majority of other places that serve similar products.
Would I come back here? Yes, at least to try the Ube flavor, anyway. Would I recommend this place to others? Yes, at least to try each of the flavors once for yourself.
I genuinely hope that some changes can be made to make the products more economical, since I genuinely want to be able to leave a 5-Star review. As it stands, however, it feels like you're paying for a combination of brand, novelty (at least in terms of mainstream culture), and real estate.
As for the staff, everyone who I've met during my visits have been very...

I might be a little late to the UBE party, but glad that I finally got a chance to try these beautiful ice cream cones from @ihalokrunch. iHalo Krunch opened its new location at 2114 Bloor St W and, it looks like they're about to make this summer even crazier with their UBER flavours. It was my first time trying UBE and, I think I am in love with it now. When it comes to picking icecreams, I love picking unique flavours and, these have hit the right spot.
So what did I get to try? ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฆ: This showstopper ice cream had Ube, Charcoal coconut, Strawberry milk, Vanilla bean and Pandan (even the cone was charcoal flavoured). Your summer is all sorted with this one.
๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ช๐ฉ: When two epic flavours combine and make a signature ๐ง. UBE (the sweet purple yam), twisted with black on black (a subtle coconut mixed with activated charcoal). Perfect for the one who loves who is about to try something new other than the regular flavours.
I also tried their new bubble tea with ice cream. Yes, you've read it right. I tried 2 of the gamechanger BBT and, I am in awe. The two flavours were ๐จ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ and ๐ถ ๐๐๐๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ก๐ (I couldn't take a picture because it was irresistible ๐).

ย ย ย Read moreYou will usually see a line up at this place but it goes pretty quick. They sell soft serve ice cream which you can have in a cone or cup. They sell it by the pint too. They have bubble tea and cakes and soft drinks. I had the pandan nut soft serve with cone as I love pandan. It has ube, which is sweet purple yam, coconut mixed with activated charcoal which gives the black color and pandan (a leaf commonly used in some Asian desserts that has a nice subtle flavor and gives a green color). I really enjoyed my ice cream. The quantity is decent and the flavors were good. The cone was nice and crunchy. From my opinion, because Iโm a pandan lover, I found the flavor to be too subtle. The only thing if you get the cone, is that for some reason, when the ice cream melts, it leaks from the bottom. I think they are aware of this and thatโs why they wrap the bottom in different layers of paper. I had the same issue the other time I had ihalo krunch ice cream. It would be best if somehow they could have the cone contain the melted ice cream ? Also, their hand sanitizer dispenser was barely spraying anything (a drop or 2) and when told them about it, they seemed too worried to serve customers as quickly as possible that they did not really bother finding another hand sanitizer or refilling it. Not sure if they took care of it...
