Sarker Foods is my go-to Bangladeshi grocery store in Scarborough. They have a fantastic selection of fresh vegetables, authentic Bangladeshi fish, and all the essential spices needed for traditional cooking. I especially love their collection of halal meats, which are always fresh and reasonably priced. What makes this store stand out is its variety of Bangladeshi products that are often hard to find elsewhere. From aromatic rice to popular snacks and frozen delicacies, they carry everything needed to bring a taste of home to my kitchen. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what I need, and the prices are fair. The staff is friendly and helpful, and while the store can get busy, they manage things well. It’s always a great experience shopping here. If you’re looking for an authentic Bangladeshi grocery store in Scarborough, I highly recommend Sarker Foods!

The place has everything you would need for grocery, specially south asian items. It is small and a little unorganized but once you get used to it, you can locate anything. The people who works there are super nice. The prices, i think, are fair since they don’t charge taxes it might seem higher but it’s really the average market price. There meat selection is very diverse, only place in the neighbourhood that has separated grocery and meat section quite nicely and offers various cuts and types of meat. From sweets to chips to fruits & vegetables to milk & eggs to meat and masalas; this is quite a one stop shop.

Please see this hilsha fish. What you can see? We bought this fish on May 19 afternoon. The fish cutter person gave me the bill to pay first. I have paid and bought few other things. I went to get my fish. By this time fish was cut and packed in the plastic bag. Later when I opened bag at home, I noticed something is not right. Now you can guess what is missing. No need to explain. Always ask to cut fish infront of you.

The walking space and check out area are ridiculously badly cramped and disorganized. The cashier girls behave miserably and have no politeness, meaning they have ZERO TRAINING in customer service because of bad management ... they look angry like they hate themselves or the world, They scowl and never say a word or greeting during the transactions. No wonder more and more Canadians shop online or prefer American business rather than notoriously rude and unprofessional Canadian in-person shopping. Definitely was My last visit ever...
