DO NOT BE FOOLED BY the new posts about how great this salon is PLEASE. This place is JUST DISGUSTING I promise you!
When I showed up for my appointment on Sept 22 I was serviced by Selena. I told her a bit about my hair and what I wanted. Although I booked an appointment for blowout with volume and wash, I asked her if she had time for a quick trim to clean up my ends(no length cut). She was was happy to do it, which was great. She quickly noticed my previous haircut wasnât the best, and offered to give me some shape with the âtrimâ at no extra cost.
At this point I noticed during our chats she was making weird comments about my hair being âtoo coilyâ and âtoughâ for reference my hair is roughly 2C -3A.
After the wash, she started blowing drying my hair but first she sectioned the front pieces and said âI am going to start the from the front so your hair doesnât get frizzyâ. Iâve never had a stylist blow dry my hair from the front to back. I noticed she was blow drying my hair FLAT and doing curls on my ends that i did not ask for. I politely asked her if she could please give me some volume and to not curl the ends. Her response was âyour hair just wants to curlâ.
She still continued flatting my hair and curling the ends. When she finished I was in complete shock on how she made my hair look. I wanted to cry but I held myself together. At some point I thought it was my hair that wasnât cooperating. She was like yeah your hair is heavy and you need to cut the bottom more, but then again your hair is coilyâ. She even went as far as asking a stylist that was on her break how my hair could be given more volume. The stylist told her you need to use a smaller round brush and add some tension to the roots. Exactly what she shouldâve done!!!!!
Mind you I payed in full and still gave her a $10 tip which she didnât deserve.
When I got home I jumped in the shower and washed my hair and redid it. While blowdrying my hair I noticed my ends were dry. That was my last straw. I called the next day 3 times back to back in hopes of speaking with someone before closing.
On my third try Selena picked up, I asked for a manager, she said a manager isnât here. I told her who I was and explained how I wasnât happy with my hair, especially the hair cut. She was annoyed and said âIâm sorry youâre not happy with your hair but I have a client, someone will call youâ. I told her I didnât care if she had another client, Iâm also a client that paid for something I didnât get. She was like, âI donât know what to tell you, maybe you should see a black hairstylist, she would know how to deal with your hairâ. I told her not tell me who I should see about my hair, she said âIâm sorry I got a client, I will call you after my shiftâ. Never called but I received a text saying she was sorry and someone will call me Monday.
Received a call from the âowner Chrisâ he already had a preconceived story about me. His whole vibe and attitude was off. He started off by saying âok so whatâs going onâ. Then he was like âok well, thatâs not the story I heard, I heard there you were yelling and kept calling. I told him your stylist doesnât know how to do hair, second she was being racist. Then he was like â you misunderstood why she suggested a black stylist, we have a black hairstylist at our salonâ.. then processed to say âok so what can we do for youâ. I said I want my money back, heâs like âno problem, when do you want to pick it upâ?. Fast forward to Thur Sep 28 I went to pick up my money. I walked in with a friend, they sent the âblack stylistâ to me, I asked for the Chris, she was like Iâm the manager. I told her I came to pick my money, she handed me an envelope with $94 written on it. She said âyou have beautiful hair, I said thatâs not what I was told when I last came here. No response.
I took a quick glance at the dollar bills and not the coins. When I got home I noticed she gave me $92 and kept $2. So I didnât even get my refund in full.

Read moreI donât normally do any google reviews but this service to me was worth rating.
I got recommended Selena a few month ago by a friend and I decided to get a full cut right after my friend got hers trimmed.
With Selena being a close friend of my friend I quickly began to feel very comfortable around her. I noticed her patience and when she talked to me about my hair I noticed right away she was very knowledgeable about different hair types. I ended up getting bangs with a bit of a shag and I was absolutely in love with the result. I went back a couple weeks later for a bang trim and I knew right away she was going to be my stylist moving forward.
I recently went to the salon for a full colour and I couldnât be more impressed with the result. This is not something I would normally do but because of how the last couple cuts turned out I felt comfortable doing this. Selena has made me feel confident, beautiful and overall comfortable with my hair once again.
I recommend her highly to anyone who might be looking for a new hair stylist. You will not be...
Read moreI'm a girl with very short hair and I've came to this salon a few times before; today I booked an appointment online for men's cleanup in the afternoon but had to arrange it to a later time, unfortunately I couldn't find a way to modify it online, so I booked another one and called to cancel the first one.The receptionist asked me what I booked for, because it says it's "men's clean up" I said yes, then the receptionist asked again "is that what it is? It's men's clean up, it's for A M-A-N"
After hanging up the more I think of it, the more uncomfortable I got. What if it was just a guy with girly voice? Can u get even more offensive? IS THAT VERY DIFFICULT TO CHANGE THE WORDINGS 'MEN'S / WOMEN'S HAIRCUT' TO 'SHORT/LONG HAIRCUT' IN YOUR SHOP LIKE OTHER SHOPS!? (I'm a software engineer and I know it's not). Won't be going in again, had to ask my frd to call to cancel the second one for me. Just don't wanna talk to the...
