I had a really disappointing experience here, especially since it was my first time visiting after they moved locations. From the moment we walked in, we werenāt greeted or acknowledged, which already made us feel unwelcome. We specifically chose to visit because they had posted on Instagram about cute Valentineās pottery items available for painting. However, when we asked about them, the response was simply, "If it's not there, we donāt have it"āwhich was frustrating, considering their social media post made it seem like these items would be readily available.
We picked a seat, but after settling in, a staff member (possibly the owner) told us to move because it was reservedādespite there being no sign indicating that. The pricing was also quite steep, which I understand given the current economy, but a small 3-inch plate costing around $40 seemed excessive.
When we were ready to start, we were just told to watch a video for instructions, which we assumed was the standard process. However, the brushes and tools were in terrible condition, worn out, and clearly not maintained. While we were picking colors, the owners hovered over us, side-eyeing us the entire time, and even grabbed items from right in front of us without a simple "excuse me" or respect for personal space.
When I asked about a specific fine-point paint color, the female staff member answered in an annoyed tone, "If it's not there, there's none." But what really made the experience worse was how differently other customers were treated. A couple who sat next to us received a full orientation on how to paint properly, along with tips and tricks, and were even told about a QR code for additional guidance. At first, we thought this was a one-time thing, but every other new customer got the same warm welcomeāexcept us.
When I returned to pick up my pieces, a super sweet Filipino staff member helped me find them in the back. But once again, the same rude woman from before came up front, looked annoyed, and bluntly asked, "What do you need?" If youāre that miserable working with customers, maybe stay in the back instead of making guests feel uncomfortable.
Overall, this experience was beyond disappointing. We were excited to come here because of their Instagram post, only to be met with poor service, dismissive attitudes, and unfair treatment. I wouldnāt recommend this place unless you enjoy feeling unwelcome and ignored. There are plenty of other studios that actually value their customers and create a...

Apparently when speaking with Hanna with my displeasure of not only not having a seat for 20 mins and having a horrible experience my first time she informed me I should feel "It is a privilege to have been given a seat tonight....even though I have paid 14 dollars each person to reserve in advance days prior...the staff was not prepared for the event at all that they sold tickets too..they were still dealing with prior clients that were not apart of the event when I arrived having no actual clean tables or space for anyone to really move around. I was on time to simply be pushed around in the cafe as time went on and people started there projects. I was finally seated in the back store area when I finally got settled I was then informed I was able to be seated in the front of the cafe since they had finished cleaning up from prior people. I declined as it was already 35 to 40 mins into the 2 hour event and I just figured and sat down with my paint. We were given 4 Ferro rocher chocolates....real classy, had the love cafe on the speaker one song was singing throw your keys down like you own the place?!? Was not at all thought through with song choice or even the station choice. When it was 9 o'clock we were sternly spoken too to be done and if not we will have to come back without the information of you can come back with your piece to finish. This was a pretty bad experience for Valentine's Day no fault of my partner lol. All there pieces were high priced and definitely didn't enjoy the fact I paid extra for a special event to be shuffled around to have no actual place to sit. Then to be asked to move and then when I'm trying to finish be told by JJ more or less leave...I will only return for my piece I paid 37 dollars and 10 dollars for the glaze. All in all I will have paid 68 per person to be treated as I have and told I should feel privileged in Hannah's words to even have a seat tonight....they had to refuse people....why sell tickets for a poorly put on event? I am truly disappointed in the experience and hope people will go enjoy themselves...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCongratulations, you've just called the most creative place in Edmonton, is what they say when you call there and they are creative alright, at lying and stealing from their costumers. Don't waste your time, pick another location and save yourself the headache. You ask them a question they lie, you catch them in their lie and they deny that they are lying. I booked a party and they overcharged me and then they gave me someone else piece and then they wanted my home address so that an employee's husband could personally deliver the correct piece and exchange it for the wrong one (that I already gave the 8 year old with no explanation as they didn't answer when I asked, ran out of lies at that point I guess) As if I would give them my home address. Oh and they can't reimburse me the money they've overcharged because the staff doesn't have the knowledge on charging people accordingly (that is what Joe the manager said) so I would need to go back to the store to use a gift card because that is the only way they can give me my money back (basically I have to spend the money they've overcharged me at their store any ways, what a creative way to make money for your store, force people to spend the money they've been overcharged at their location) what a joke and what a lame place and staff. JJ was the one I originally booked the party with and she said that they record all phone conversations and she said that I did not say the $199 package (I called it the kids party) so I guess because I used the name of the party and not the amount that makes it my problem. JJ (who is a manager there as well) starting feeding me all kinds of non sense and when she got frustrated with me catching her in her lies she sent my issue to Joe who is just as bad to deal with, even he can't figure it out simple numbers. So save yourself from being lied and stolen from go anywhere but this terrible place. The story goes on and so do the lies but too much has happened for me to put it in one comment, trust me STAY AWAY from this horrible place and staff. I give them -10 stars for the horrible service...
