I came in for a free-trial halotherapy treatment as I'd read that some people found that it really helped with allergy-related congestion and eczema. Since I've only done one treatment, I can't accurately review whether or not it helped my allergies but I can review my experience at this spa.
I give the spa 3/5 stars because though I didn't have a bad experience, it left much to be desired and if I were to try another halotherapy session, it would not be at this spa. The receptionist was very nice, offered tea and showed me the salt room - all good until this point - but then it just gets strange.
She gave me the health questionnaire to fill out while I'm in the salt room, during the treatment. Good thing I knew ahead of time that I didn't have any conditions but that's not safe and I was 15 mins early for my appointment so it wasn't a timing thing. I take the form and then she says something along the lines of "ok, you can go in, get comfortable, read and I'll let you know when it's done." Confused I respond "but what about my clothes?" since I see that everything in the room is lightly covered in salt dust. She assures me that it wipes off easily and not to worry so I go in, shoes and work clothing on and sit back for 30mins while the room infuses. The room is not sound proof so I clearly heard chatter from the neighboring business during my treatment which was a little distracting.
Things that could have been improved on: medical questionnaire BEFORE starting the treatment because, well, safety first. Being offered a bathrobe, towel, or at least having the chair wiped down before I sit on it with my work clothing on because though the new salt infused in doesn't impact the clothing, the built up salt did and now the pants will need to go to the cleaners and just the overall vibe of the experience. I feel like I did something that did nothing and other than being told that it would help decongest (salt will do that) and that for eczema relief it'll take more sessions, I don't feel like it was worth another try honestly - it just felt like a bit of a waste and a gimmick. Also, my eczema flared up about an hour later - not sure if this is related to the treatment...
Read moreThey advertised a promo price for a facial and we agreed to this price beforehand, when I got there they still charged me full, I was getting the facial for a wedding but the facial was painful, rough, and made my nose bleed. when I asked for the difference in price letting them know they charged me full instead of the agreed on promo price, they suggested that I give the difference—a 20% tip—to the girl that butchered my nose during the facial that I was not happy with. I was so taken aback that they asked me directly for a 20% tip that I just said ok. But the next morning, I reached out to them again showing them pictures of my butchered nose with a clear injury showing it wasn’t just post-facial redness and inflammation, and asked for some compensation to make it right. They never replied, because they don’t really care about their clients. Yes it did scab and my makeup artist for the wedding had to work overtime to hide it. Won’t...

The level of service is uneven, dependent on which staff member you get that day and how busy the place is.
One technician there in particular, who has done most of my laser treatments, has shown herself extremely professional at times and extremely rude, others.
Not all staff members are knowledgeable about the products sold there.
I spent a lot of money there to complete the laser treatments in the same place but wouldn't go back.
Pros: The results of the laser treatments are good. The clinic in Westmount Square is professional, clean, well-maintained. Interesting array of cosmetics sold there like Dermalogica, ISclinical. Some good staff members there to balance the others.
All in all, if you can get a good deal from them and don't mind some roughness around the edges at times, you may want to consider them. Frequent sales on products and procedures. Good points but no more than 2...
