There are few churches that can boast of a Spirit filled atmosphere, great worship and awesome preaching, but the Vine is one of them.
The worship is top notch contemporary style, if you're into that. I'm a preaching guy, so for me it's an absolute joy to hear refreshing, challenging, insightful, thorough, and often downright mind-blowing teaching on scripture and theology.
The fact that The Vine is so missions-oriented and works to live-out its calling as a church to serve the community is such a blessing too, with their support for the wide variety of community groups and Bible studies, as well as people in need of physical, mental, and financial healing, people suffering domestic abuse, and refugees and asylum seekers.

Read moreThe Vine quickly became my home church while I was in Hong Kong for a summer. The worship is simply amazing and sermons are good as well. If you are a young adult between the ages of 18-30, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Oneighty, which meets on Saturday nights (check their website). They are very welcoming so I was able to make many new friends. Also, the way that the church acknowledges and addresses social justice issues was something that really impressed me, and they are working in their community. 1 tip: the most crowded Sunday service is the 11am one, so go to any of the others if you want to be sure...

However, I suffer from an inner ear problem called "Tiniititus" and during worship the keyboard player turns on a device that makes a high pitched fluctuating sound in the key of D which is left on thoughout the entire worship set. For me it is like fingernails on a chalkboard and extremely stresses me out.
